  1. Make my own skin? Me work on something? The nerve! Yeah definitely would love to give it a shot at making a theme. Something sleek, but it will probably have to wait for next summer. Good to see you here too! I'm debating between using gameex or hyperspin. I like that hyperspin gives you that feeling of awe, but I love that gameex feels more like a library of games, with extra info, art, manuals. Good stuff. I'll give those themes a shot, thanks for the recommendation!
  2. HI everyone, So I'm really enjoying setting up gameex. I was wondering, is there any skin that looks similar to xbmc? Someting like this this? Just wondering, thanks!
  3. Thanks for the help. I'm working on setting up the NES, just to become more familiar. I see that I can put snaps in the asset folder, but what about videos? Where should I place those?
  4. Hi Everyone, I'm new to gameex, I'm more familiar with hyperpsin but I wanted something more mediacenter-ish to use for a media center pc. I was wondering if someone could help me with dumb questions? 1. Is the setup wizard the only place I can setup emulators and settings? It feels more like a first time user thing, I just want to make sure there's no other settings screen while in gameex or a settings.exe or something like that 2. I installed all the emulators in the wizard setup, gameex downloaded them and everything, pretty neat. But I closed gameex and now the only thing under emulators are the gameex flash games. What happened? Did they disappear because I have no roms for the emulators? or did I do something? Even the mame games disappeared? 3. I can't create an admin password, I type in the password in the first box and then I can't do anything. I can't click on the bottom box, or the green arrow. Any ideas? Thanks for the help!
  5. Interesting info.. I appreciate the help I was actually hoping I could get around using cpwiz, I've had issues with the naming of buttons. I'm not sure if its because of my system (a windows 7 64 bit system) and I can't test it on another version of windows because my laptop has the same thing. If I go, point it to the mame files it needs (using default mame files) and I've made sure to follow the guide step by step... i get player 2's buttons labeled, and player one either nothing or just one or two and sometimes player 2s buttons are also mislabeled. Are there any complete sets out there? The only issue is that my cp will have a hybrid layout. I already have emumovies sets in .avi format, I'm just waiting for circo to upload the dreamcast set. Here are some systems I'm thinking of integrating mame misfit mame nes snes n64 gamecube NintendoWii gameboy gameboy color gameboy advance virtual boy (can't find good emulator for this) sega genesis sega cd sega 32x sega master system Sega dreamcast sega portable (blanking on name atm) 3DO Turbo Grafx 16 mame makaron atomiswave (based off of demul) sega m2 virtual pinball future pinball atari 2600 atari 5200 atari 7800 atari jaguar atari lynx pc games (using .bat files) -Guitar Hero World Tour (I have an xbox 360 guitar that works well on my pc) -japanese shmups (there's a whole scene of homemade shmups) -Street Fighter IV -Blaz Blue -and more controller setups 1 and 2 player = joysticks and pushbuttons 3rd and 4th player = xbox 360 controllers
  6. Hi Everyone, I was thinking of switching to gameex from Maximus arcade, but I wondering if I could receive some help with a few questions? 1. I am currently using Maximus Arcade how hard do you think it will be for me to switch over? 2. Is it easy to integrate Makaron, pcsx2e,demul,dolphin, nulldc 104r22 and other new emulators? 3. I really like the Control Panel viewer integration, can i customize it to reflect my button layout? and if so, how is that done within gameex? 4. Do I have to rename my roms to match lists (like hyperspin)? 5. Gameex reminds me of media center, is there a way to make it look less like media center and more "arcade like"? I'd appreciate any help with these questions! SS
  7. I agree with Ninja, I don't know why so many people are having issues with this release here... but it runs great for me. Works perfectly, and I'm using Windows 7 64 bit. I would say it worked with about 75% of the ten games I got recently (Japanese Shmups and fighting games). Some games are worse.. Sonic Adventures stands out, but overall it's amazing how much it was improved. Xbox 360 pad support is accomplished through a plugin (no need to configure) and key board support for arcades works great.
  8. I'm trying to see if gameex can meet my needs and it seem like it is very likely the case. I was wondering about one thing though, is there a way to change the control panel layout preview? currently it's setup this way xxx xxx I will have a hybrid layout that looks like this (but curved as in the Japanese style) XXX XXX X the bottom buttons will be ABCD for snk games, for all other games I will use buttons leave them as top row 123 bottom row 456. Can I change the preview of the control panel to reflect this? So that when snk games come out the bottom buttons are shown as ABCD. Also, is it hard to have this panel display setup to be displayed on a second screen as you play?
