    DVDs on disk

I tried the subfolder idea, but GameEx is pretty smart! It found all the movies in the various subfolders, and managed to create a single list of alphabetized movies - just as if they were all in same folder. It even takes movies from different networked PCs and hard drives - alphabetizes them and displays one list. I'll give it shot in Feature Request forum. thanks, - Mark -

    DVDs on disk

I have really enjoyed the DVDs on disk feature of GameEx. I have about 110 movies in the menu to play on my bigscreen in the living room! Is there a way to divide the DVD's menu into separate menu screens.... maybe one for Horror flicks, maybe one for Kids Movies, etc. I'm pretty good at editing config files or code. If anyone knows of a way to create new DVD's on disk menuing - maybe each one playing from a different directory? thanks! - Mark -
  3. Thanks, Tom.... that table really helped! Silly me - should have read the documentation....
  4. Bump. Any help would be appreciated!
  5. Does anybody know how to control playback of DVDs in GameEx using the DVD on disk feature? The DVD files play fine, but I can't figure out how to go back to the Root Menu, or skip to next chapter, or turn on/off subtitles. Anybody figured this out? Doesn't matter which codec I select, playback options appear the same. Sure wish I had the features of PowerDVD during playback! thanks!

    Jukebox Question

I believe this is normal behavior. Once leaving the "playlist mode" by selecting any song in the jukebox, that new song starts playing and a temporary playlist starts being built. From this point forward, any other song you select will be added to the temporary playlist. While the first song is playing, you can search by artist/title/song to find others and "queue em up" just like a real jukebox. If in doubt, go to Playlist / More and then "View Current Playlist". You should see the songs you've selected in order on that list, and they'll start playing sequentially. I hope this helps, - Mark - p.s. I've often wondered if there's a way to save the temporary playlist. Anybody have ideas about that?
  7. Thanks, Tom! I like the DVD on disk feature. works perfectly so far.
  8. DVD disk in a drive works just great. Having the capability to play DVD file structures on the internal hard drive would move me towards using GameEx as my HTPC software. Right now, MCE 2005 with the MyMovies add-in works extremely well to play DVD file structures and even pulls imdb.com cover art and movie information. Tom - thanks for considering this feature in an upcoming release.
  9. I'm having trouble getting GameEx 5.73 to play Video_TS.IFO files (standard DVD file naming) on my hard drive. I have the path set in configuration, and when trying to play using VIDEOS, it says "No videos found" I've associated .IFO files with WMP on my WinXP system, and these files play great using WMP10. How does GameEx know which file type to look for in the Videos Directory? Also - the "Play DVD" feature is working well when placing a disk in the DVD-ROM drive. Any tips/suggestions would be appreciated.
