  1. Beyond trying to launch an individual table, is there a way to just launch Pinball FX3 (aside from linking it up from the Steam menu)? I was thinking to use the emulator setup menu, and simply point at the Pinball FX3.exe file.
  2. I am attempting to configure GameEx Arcade to launch Pinball FX3. I was reading a past article (linked below under Pinball FX3 Setup) on how to configure GameEx for this, however the Arcade Edition options do not appear the same for this procedure. I'm assuming that I can add it in as a PC Game similar to this article ("Add a PC Game on GameEX" linked below) .. but then how do I select an individual table? Any help here is appreciated.
  3. Awesome, this solution worked perfectly. As always, thank you for the help on this. Much appreciated.
  4. No problem, I have it attached. I just went though the motions and pulled the log file ... The result was the same, Pinball FX starts for a moment, but then GameEx suddenly returns to the selection menu (all on it's own). I realized too that if you were to exit GameEx right after this event, Pinball FX is minimized but still running in the background. log.txt
  5. Thanks, both are attached.. log.txt GameEx.ini
  6. I am having a strange issue with Steam games in GameEx Arcade. When selecting a Steam game from the menu (in this case, Pinball FX 3), GameEx executes and opens the game but then after a minute returns to the selection menu back in GameEx. I'm not sure why that's occurring, I tried working it out but have had no success. Any help on this issue would be appreciated .. thx
  7. Thanks so much for the replies .. after updating to v16.41, I went through my MAME directories once more. The video snap files must have not copied correctly because all of them were corrupt (...a Windows error occurred if played). When I replaced them with a fresh set, GameEx finally stopped freezing and completed its list update. And thanks for the heads up on Zinc, I properly fixed that as well with the correct config. Everything appears to be working again (fingers crossed)..
  8. I needed to rebuild my system recently, and had to start from scratch on installing a fresh copy of GameEx Arcade along with all game files, movies, themes, etc. Everything worked previously, however this time the front end starts but then freezes when it's indexing the game lists (...the alert box with "Update List?" appears, and once selected everything freezes). I'm sure this is something correctable since when I first started to connect all the associated directories for MAME, etc., I would spot check and things were stable/working. I would like not to re-install if possible .. but any help or suggestions on this would be great. Log attached if needed. Thx again. log.txt
  9. That solution worked perfect, I was able to locate the themes by CriticalCid on Emumovies.com (downloaded via FTP, thanks for the tip) and placed them into the correct folder. Everything is now appearing like my screenshot above. Thanks again.
  10. I'm hoping to have a MAME wheel for just Pac-Man games only in GameEx Arcade. I'm thinking the proper method is to start a new emulator, then have only the Pac-Man games in their own isolated directory? Unless there is a better option (I was thinking favorites, but that just mixes everything of course).. any help is appreciated here too. Thanks.
  11. I've been trying to figure out how to have the background images/animations load when cycling through games in Game Ex Arcade. I have everything else loaded for my install (...game logos in the wheel, video previews, etc.), however with the background animation I can't seem to find the content or even which option in the setup wizard is the appropriate choice (guessing video theme path?). I included a screen shot as well to help clarify what I'm referring to just in case. Any help is appreciated. Thx!
  12. There may be a simple solution to this, but is there a way to have the MAME game selection menu immediately show? Right now, it of course starts with the initial selection menu when booting Game Ex Arcade. Thanks!
  13. So this issue appears to have corrected itself after I rebooted and tried today. The GameEx front end does return after quitting a Steam game, however it will take a 5-10 seconds (it's a bit slower than quitting a MAME game let's say). Thanks!
  14. Does anyone know how to have GameEx return after exiting a Steam game? Seems that after quitting any Steam game, the front end exited as well in the background. I was thinking using the "Launch After" field to have it reload .. but I'm not clear on if this is a solution. Any help is appreciated. Thx.
