  1. awesome thanks so much guys! i figured out how to set the exit thing but i cant seem to figure out how to use keys from both controllers.
  2. sweet thanks for that helpful info. where might i find that comand in gamex to close the apps? Awesome! thanks so much brian you've helped me out so much on this forum and i haven't been around that long haha
  3. So i briefly went over the "FAQ" and newbies thread. I just recently (yesterday) purchased gameex. i love it! glad i don't get the nag screen! haha anyway i was looking to see what were the best emus for specific consoles ie... im using zsnes because i know it already but what is the best emu to use for NES or genesis and other home consoles. Issues that i am hoping not to have are wide screen support, i don't want it to stretch the image in full screen Universal Exit button (other than esc button) so like being able to map button combination to exit (such as both p1 and p2 buttons and like down on both joysticks to exit the emu) similar to mame. anyone know what might work best? thanks in advanced and im happy to be a part of the community!
  4. yeah i have xpadder, if couldn't configure the rest of the buttons through gameex i would have probably mapped them with xpadder but it seems that using xpader for just the arrows seemed unnecessary. it seems like its to bloated of a program i guess. j2k is simple and it works, and loads fast as hell. although xpadder is a bad ass program dont get me wrong. its eye candy and it works great.
  5. oh man if there was native POV support that would make things so much easier (and cleaner) for me haha
  6. yeah i tried the setup wizard, it doesn't like the POV pots for the up down left and right. i guess ill still have to use J2K for those but at least i can configure the rest of the buttons. thanks allot guys! how long does it typically take to get your registration key?
  7. Ok so, first off i hacked 2 madcats 360 controllers for my control panel. ill skip the details for now as to why i chose this set up. in anycase. these controllers have a POV Hat for the analog up down left and right (d-pad). so i went and used joy to key to map the POV hats to their respective directions, now comes the wierd part. it seems that when i am in gameex there is a preset configuration for the joysticks. IE button 2 (Y on 360 controller) is set to select whatever is highlited. button 5 (B on 360 controller) is set to back. anyway all i want to do is make button 4 be select and 5 be back. i tried going through the configuration in gameex but it is a text file and i guess i just didnt get what the hell i was suposed to do haha. i figured that there would be some sort of UI to configure the controls for gameex i guess and im at a loss i dont know what to do to configure the buttons and what not. If anyone cares i desided to go with these madcats controlers because A they are cheap B i also have my 360 set up in my cab so i can play SF4, KOF12 and blazblue (amongst others) and i wanted native support. This is how i have my control panel wired. its the standard SF2 set up 1 2 3 4 5 6 AKA LP MP HP LK MK HK = X Y LB A B RB P1 start = start button on 360 pad 1 P1 coin = back button on 360 pad 1 anyway thanks in advaced. OH and who do i send my 25 bucks to get that damn nag screen to STFU hahaha. (only slightly joking )
  8. hey guys thanks for the response! turns out it was the region filters. i went ahead and fixed the problem and it seems to be working.thanks for the advice!
  9. oh i downloaded mame0133b_i686.exe Win32 command line version (I686 optimized) from http://www.emulator-zone.com/doc.php/arcade/mame.html and the latest gameex install.
  10. Hello, i just recently installed gameex on my Mame PC. it looks stunning and i am very seriously considering donating and getting the full version, however, i have noticed that a few of the Mame roms aren't coming up. Such as, "Hyper Street Fighter 2: The Anniversary Edition (Japan 031222)" and "Street Fighter III 3rd Strike: Fight for the Future (USA, 990608)". im almost sure it is some setting that i didn't click during the initial setup, but i cant understand why they wouldn't show up. before using gameex i used emuloader. that seemed to show all my roms properly and let me play them all. from first impressions i am floored by how awesome gameex is and i cant wait till i have it working properly. thanks for the help and im glad to be a member! Cheers, DJMOJO
