I was wondering if you could turn off the AracadeAmbience.mp3 when you start playing a game from the screensaver. Occassionally I see a game that looks cool and start playing it but Arcade Ambience.mp3 still keeps going so I can't hear the game's sounds over it. ~William Blake

Thanks for looking into it. Yeah I thought it was wierd also. GameEx works ok normally, except it won't run maximized. I don't get a message box asking me to confirm anyting. Also I wanted to mention that when I start GameEx with windows (from startup) it defaults to being minimized in the taskbar, even though I've selected in the properties box to run maximized, (in both GameEx and the shortcut in windows)

I still get the exact same error with 6.55.

Whenever I got to create videos for my MAME games using the Create MAME Videos program that comes with GameEx I get an an error to the effect that my collection was modified. I've tried it with the videos that I have created previously in the folder (c:\videos as you can see from the log) or nothing in the folder and it still messes up. Nobody else gets an error like this?

When I boot my computer Gamex is set to load on startup. But it fails to load correctly some of the time. I can close out the error log and double click on the gameex icon and it loads fine. Has anyone had success getting GameEx to recognize that Marvel vs Capcom actually works? I thought from what I read that this might be fixed but it still doesn't seem to work. ~57 42

You could also solder two wires, (one on each side of the power switch on the TV circuit board) and wire it to a momentary switch on the outside of your arcade machine. That's what I did and it works well if you are handy with a soldering iron. (Even if you're not it's still pretty simple to do and nice looking) Of course that's a hardware not software solution but whatever you want.

Some games are getting filtered out by the setting "Only Working Games" set to true even though clones of the the game do work. Such as Marvel vs. Capcom, Marvel Super Heroes, and others. Tom do you think you could look into this so we don't have to fight with manually going through and filtering out all the truly non-working games?

I'm getting this problem also. My marvel vs capcom and some others are not showing up.

My problem is it happens every time I boot up my PC/Arcade cabinet not just once, and not only after I upgrade

Every once in a while I see a screensaver going and I'm like "man that's a cool game" and I never get to see the title screen before it exits. What about the ability to say press "select" while watching the attract mode screen saver and be able to start playing the game. (Because we are just watching an actual game running right) ~wb

I get an error when I first bootup my arcade machine with GameEx in the startup directory. Occassionally it won't mess up on the boot. But almost always it gives me the error below.
