Hola All, So My MAME Box has been collecting a large amount of dust due to my workload. So the other day I finally decided to turn it on. I updated GameEx to the latest version and now my U306's seem rather touchy. I also downloaded the new softwares for the U360 with my WinPac. The Winpac seems to be doing its job just fine.... however when I goto program the U360s in mame they just seem like its so touchy that if I am to push UP to set UP it tells me I pushed JOY UP and Joy RIGHT. I was wondering if there were any profiles that may fix this? I thought I had one long ago but its been so long lol. Any ideas?

Oops sorry guys. What I meant to say was that the 11000+ roms are still showing in the Game Ex menu, but when I open just the MAME program without Game Ex it shows only the dozen or so. That is why I went and uninstalled Game Ex, I assumed seeming how MAME just showed the few I had in there that, that program was fine. For some reason i cannot get GameEX to show just the dozen games. I should have been more clear :-\

Tempest, I tried what you stated and it didn't seem to change. Last night I even uninstalled game ex, went into the registry and deleted all of those entries and well. I have no idea where this program is getting this information. Now when I open MAME it only shows like the dozen games I put in the rom folder. Ideas?

This is getting really bad. I tried doing runitgame.bat thing that you have listed. I add "Pause" to the end of the bat and after i click save and enter gameex it goes right back to the way it way before i edited it. Is there an easier way to do this?

I ticked that option but it still shows 11000+ games. Is there some sort of list or dat file in game ex that holds old rom info? I deleted a bunch of time on the hard drive and only wasted a few. I selected only exsisting roms and I updated the list but it still shows them all. Any Ideas? Oh... I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling gameex

Alright I am lost here and there probably is a simple fix that I just dont see. So I have installed both MAME and MAME32 and when I open up GameEx it shows me like 11,000+ roms. I only have like maybe 15 in the rom directory. Why is this? Is there a way that I can just show the roms that I actually have installed on the machine? Thanks in advance,

Ah, Alright thanks for all the help . I own the game on the N64 so I'll use that rom.

Alright, I didn't know where to post this question so feel free to bump it somewhere else if need be. Is there a working MAME ROM of gauntlet legends... if there is I can't find it or I'm doing something wrong. I am so lost. Everytime I go to play this it tries to load then black screens. Any ideas?

Do all your other usb devices work fine? I mean this may sound foolish, but do you have the most updated chipset drivers?

Ok when you push 2 and 5 do they light up in WinIpac? I had this problem and come to find out mine was a grounding issue :-\. If one ground in the chain is broken, everything after wont work.

So what does the default ini cover. (not that one you posted Lawrence) but the one that comes with the plugin. What I am thinking is trying to make an ini file for all the MAME games. I guess I would need a database of the filenames and the joystick used.? Anyone know where I could get 2 such databases?

What OS are you using? I think the IPACS themselves don't need drivers. I'm pritty sure there PnP. When I plugged in my IPAC4 it picked it up in XP Pro. I would also Suggest going to the website and downloading WinIpac as well. It can be found here Ultimarc Website

I found something that is kinda a bug but its not gameex's fault. I use software called RealVNC. It is remote management software to connect PC's. When a remote connects to a host and is running it takes over DirectX. VNC uses its own video driver and disables elements within DirectX causing gameex not to function properly. I always seem to get an error that tells me that DirectDraw is missing and to reinstall DirectX. Now when I turn RealVNC off GameEx and DirectX work fine. I just wanted to let people know. I dealt with this for hours before I figured it out. (After many many formats) lol.

I dont see any with you as an author. I wish I did. I am downloaded the one you had and it says it was made by Ben. Unless you are Ben...? On another note. You would think that there would be a data base that would list ALL the MAME games and point to the correct mapping. Maybe I'm out on a strech here. But if there was such a list that needed to be compiled, I would try to do it! lol I hate changing these things manually.

Now which pluggin are you talking about.. If its the one called UltraStik I did enable it but last night when i was playing dig dug it just left it as an 8way which kinda sucked.

Is there such a plugin that when I play a game that requires a 4way it will automaticly select the 4way programming for my UltraStik360's? It is annoying to keep having to switch per game. Or is there some setting I can change to make this automatic. Thanks
