  1. Yup, I changed the catver in my GameEx directory and then rebuilt the categories inside of the MAME menu in GAMEEX. Wasn't sure which category GameEx used to check on LightGun Games. I can see it in the sub-mame category menu, so I wasn't sure how the top level categories were populated. Thanks!
  2. I tried searching the forum for this issue, but to no avail. I just recently updated my catver in GameEX and noticed that if I go onto MAME the top level categories didn't seem to update. For example, LightGun Games doesn't show Aliens3 - The Gun or Revolution X. Yet if I go and select all MAME Games and then Categories I'm able to find both of those games under "Shooter / Gun". How do I update the top level MAME Categories? They seem to be set by GameEx and not Catver Thanks
  3. I'm trying to setup Future Pinball in GameEx. I checked the database file in the Data\Emulators folder for Future Pinball, but it seems to be empty? I've tried downloading the DB again from the GameEx website but that DB also seems to be empty? Am I missing something? Thanks
  4. I'm pretty sure you were right on the money; I uninstalled my Community Codec Pack and installed the Vista Codec Pack and have not been able to replicate the error (or the the error log) since. thanks!
  5. Hi all, I recently converted from Maximus Arcade to GameEX and couldn't be happier. I spent WEEKS trying to setup Maximus only to have it consistently fail. GameEx worked as advertised the first time. I recently decided to add on some video snaps to my MAME/Genesis games. The videos play great when 1 game is selected; when I scroll through multiple games quickly; GameEX crashes. I have tried this multiple times. I have Divx/Xvix/Community Codec Pack (including FFDShow Tryout) installed and am running on Vista SP1. I love the videos but am not sure what the issue is. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I don't think it's a codec issue since the videos play fine; it's only when i scroll through MANY games w/ videos quickly. Thanks!
