Hi Draco! I'm trying to attach the Zaxxon file I downloaded from emumovies but I'm receiving this error: "1 file was larger than the maximum file size of 1024kb and was skipped". I downloaded it through my girlfriend's tablet and am replying using it. She transferred it to my laptop top (having issues logging in to emumovies through the laptop but for some reason it works through her tablet) and used a USB key to transfer it to my arcade company. I'll try again through my laptop.

Was there anything different showing in my .ini files? I've done everything that I can think of and doing what I should be doing and nothing is working. I'm watching dudes on YouTube doing exactly what I was doing and it's working for them. What am I missing? Hank, I tried renaming that default and that didn't work. I'm really confused.
-
Hi Hank! When I downloaded the artwork files it had all the necessary ones in there including the default .lay file. So when I put them in the artwork folder in mame and when I select the game in mame that has the new artwork that I just downloaded, when I press the tab key and go to video options, I'm able to see all the bezel options but when I click on one of them, nothing appears. These new bezels aren't opening up. I never had problems with the old bezel packs I downloaded a few years ago, they worked/opened right away.

Hi Draco! Here are the files you requested! Thanks for the help! Much appreciated! GameEx.ini log.txt

Is that why isn't it recognizing the new bezels? What is retroarch? I haven't changed anything since I added that old bezel pack a few years ago (from Proghetto Snaps and/or MrDues Arcade) . All the settings haven't been touched so why isn't it working? That's what I can't figure out. I was going back and downloading missing bezels and was trying to download the missing bezel for Zaxxon. Bezel and rom names match. I even went into the option/miscellaneous menu to verify that everything that should be checked off , was. Shouldn't that automatically set the new bezels to the games? What is the step by step of setting up bezels? Am I missing something? Why isn't the existing artwork folder not recognizing the new stuff?

Hi! I'm having an issue with the artwork bezels. A few years ago, I downloaded an artwork bezel pack for mame and I put it in the art folder and all the bezels worked fine. Now, I'm downloading some new bezels that I was missing from emumovies website. I've taken the zip folders and copied to the art folder in mame and they don't work . The file names are the same as the rom names so I don't know why they're not working but I've noticed when I click on the zip file I see within that file that the default .lay is missing from the files I downloaded. The other files I already downloaded have that default .lay in them. So I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I also noticed from the emumovies files that I recently downloaded for those bezels, it also shows me the bezel vertical and horizontal .ini files. My old ones never had those .ini files in them. So I don't know how to get these to work. Thanks for your help!

Hey guys! Thanks again for all your help! Sorry for the delayed response Everything is going great now!

Thanks guys! So to be clear, this old version I have is what is preventing me from uploading more games? Like this 4.61 will allow me to upload all the games? And I can't remember exactly what site I was on when I downloaded that version...
-
Hi Tom! What do you mean? What I downloaded was the version available to me on the site...

Hi Mike! Thanks for your help! Here are the files! Hope you're able to see the problem. Thanks again! PinballX.ini log.txt

Hi! I downloaded Pinball X and I've gone into the game list manager and started loading in my tables. Everything was going fine... I loaded all my Visual Pinball tables (about 120 tables) then I started putting in my Future Pinball tables and now I'm unable to load more games into the game list manager. At the moment, I have a total of 450 games from both "systems ". Seems I'm not able to load anymore games. When I go into folder to check Future Pinball xml, it shows the list of all the games I've downloaded but in the game list manager it doesn't show me the last 10 games I've downloaded. And when I add a game it will only allow me to download 10 more games but that's it. In Pinball X the front end it shows me exactly what is in my xml file but those last 10 games aren't in the game list manager. How do I fix that? Is there a way to get rid of that limit? Also, when I'm in the game list manager when I add a game, now instead of being continuous like the names being one after another, I have a gap in my game list manager. There's a gap between the games... when adding games, the next game "box" would be right after the last game loaded but now there's a "space/gap" between the very last game and the ones I'm trying to add in. Why? Thanks for your help!

Hey! Before I send the .ini and .txt files, I just want to be clear that I am not using PinballX. I'm using regular GameEx and trying to launch Visual Pinball VPX. Just need to know the proper working path, rom path and command line needed in setup wizard. I searched in the forums for a step by step guide on Visual Pinball but didn't/couldn't find. I've got Visual Pinball working in GameEx except when loading the game I chose to play. Thanks!

Hey all! I've got a Visual Pinball issue! In GameEx, when I'm trying to run Visual Pinball, it doesn't seem to be running correctly. When using it through my usual Windows desktop way, Visual Pinball vpx, it is perfectly fine. In GameEx, I choose from my emulators list Visual Pinball and then when I choose the game I want, it starts loading (screen is black) and then it brings me back to my tables folder but not the one in Gameex (it brings me back to the tables folder in the Visual Pinball emulator folder) and then from there, I need to choose the game I want to play. I want the game to work right away straight from Gameex. In setup wizard, I have it setup as: working path visual Pinball rom path tables and command line, I chose the vpx.exe What is missing? Thanks for any and all help!

Hi Everyone! So I copied the files to a USB key and tried through another computer and voila! It worked! GameEx.inilog.txt

Even doing that I received the error...

Hi Draco! Everyone! I'm unable to attach the 2 files... I'm getting this upload failed error. I'll try again later. I also wasn't able to get a recording but it's the game's "preview video" from the menu front end that is playing when the game loads. I really appreciate the help on this! Also, with the above thread, it was hard to figure out the solution to the not being able to get out of a game... I can't exit using the usual buttons. I have to hit Esc but that brings me right out of Gameex. How do I exit back to the menu? Is there a thread somewhere of like a step by step guide to setting up Future Pinball (BAM) in Gameex I can follow? What am I missing? I'm not much of a computer guy so it's a bit frustrating trying to figure this out. Everything works fine when playing on desktop but I just can't get it to work 100% in Gameex. I just can't figure out what I'm missing... Thanks again!

Hi Draco! I've changed the command line to what's in the thread and I am able to load games, but it's still the "double" sound issue of hearing Gameex's front end in the background. At the end of the above thread, there was the below link about the sound issue but when I try to open it, I receive a "404" error.... http://forums.emulator-zone.com/showthread.php?t=9778

Hi Frequency! What do you mean by what's the command line? When using FPLoader in Gameex? I can't get it to work... When I changed it to FPLoader in Gameex (instead of Future Pinball), I couldn't get out of it after...
-
Hi! So here are the requested files... gameex.ini & log.txt Thanks again! GameEx.ini log.txt

I think I got the file thing figured out! Will get it attached soon.

Also, how do you change emulators in Gameex, like an updated emulator? I've updated Future Pinball so how do I change it in Gameex? Thanks!!
-
Hi Draco! Thanks for that thread! Lots of great info but still a smidge confusing. The computer used for the arcade is not connected online so attaching the requested files is tough... would taking pics from this, my tablet, work? Also, curious, is it possible to load your own emulators into Gameex or must only use the preset emulators? Awhile back, I had asked for help and was told to create a folder called Emulation and in that folder are 3 other folders: Assets, Emulators and Roms. When I go into setup wizard in Gameex to configure Future Pinball, I have no problem changing the working path and the rom path but it seems that if you go into emulator selection and choose Future Pinball from the list there, it only loads up the regular Future Pinball and not with BAM, which is FPLoader. When I go into emulator setup, if I change command line to FPLoader, it does not boot up the game. I had it working once when I used working path as "BAM", rom path as "tables" and in my emulator folder I renamed FPLoader to Future Pinball.exe - it loaded with BAM but I could still hear the Gameex menu running in the background and I couldn't exit using my joystick, I had to press esc on keyboard to get out of Gameex. Also, from reading the thread, there was mention of BAM ini file but I don't think I have that in the folder... not that I noticed anyways... Could that be an issue? This whole thing is frustrating me lol I appreciate all help and tips! Thanks! Axl

Hey! I've been trying to run Future Pinball (with bam) in game ex but it does not work. I can only use regular Future Pinball exe in game ex. But if I use it (Future Pinball with BAM) through my desktop, in my folder where my Future Pinball is I can run the fp loader (which is bam), it works. Thanks for your help!

Hello! Virtual Jaguar emulator runs and plays games but when trying to launch through Gameex, it just doesn't. No matter what I do. Just glitches and brings me back to Gameex. What am I missing? Thanks for any help!

I was trying to configure the controls on my joystick to scroll through the game titles/letters faster and followed the advice from an old topic on here (from June 2013) and briefly, my joystick/keyboard wasn't working at all. Thankfully, I got it back somehow to how it was working before I did the change but I would still like to figure out how to go through the titles of my games on the menu screen quicker than by going line by line without messing up my system. Like if I want to play a "J" game, how do I get to "J" without having to scroll through all other titles first? Thanks!
