  1. Im going over the theme i mentioned above trying to figure out how, in the right view setting, to have the games list with box art pictures instead of title pictures, while still keeping the title pictures on the lower left hand corner. I can not figure it out. I tried to use the theme editor but couldn't figure that out. I went through advanced configuration and changed the title art path to the box art path. While that made the boxes appear in the list, it also replaced the title pictures on the lower left hand corner. Is there something im missing? I know in the editor if you open a new file with the MCE Glossy 3 source theme, you can see how the the emulator (in this case the NES) is layed out. However, i cant figure out how it knows in the "list" section to display the games in title art format. Is it in a text file somewhere or is it hard wired into the theme itself>
  2. The best method is to find a program called FatMatch. You can find it here http://www.gameex.info/forums/index.php?showtopic=7020 With that program, you tell it where your roms are at and you can have it compare that to your snaps, titles, videos etc.. and it will tell you which ones are missing (Make sure to check to see if they are actually missing and not just titled wrong. An example would be having a rom called battletoads doubledragon and having a title be "Battletoads and Double Dragon - The Ultimate Team Up". You'll have to change the name of the snap to that of the rom) It takes a bit to get used to, but its helped me A LOT. It says it only does pics, but ignore that. Ive had it compare roms to videos and .pdf instruction manuals and its worked great.
  3. according to this it does, but its a little finiky
  4. That what i was thinking; using boot camp on the mac if i did it that way.
  5. I really like the theme layout of MCE Glossy 3. There's one particular layout for the NES emulation where videos play on the middle left, the title screen is right under it, and all the games are thumb nailed. Instead of the thumb nails being title screens again, i want to change it to display box art. I tried to do it myself by creating a new template based off the one i want to change, but couldn't figure out how to do it. Is there a way to do this?
  6. I want to make some nes videos to games not done in emumovies yet (i.e European games like Astreix, Beauty and the Beast, Mr. Gimmick etc). I have a powerful enough rig so i know i can do it, i was just wondering what you would recommend. I want to get as close to the quality in NES [Videos][AVI-HiQ][GoodMerge NES 3.14] [EmuMovies 20090225] as i can.
  7. Pretty much its gonna be old school games (arari, sega, nes, playstation), MAME, N64, and probably run dvd's and have it as a media pc. Though, as i keep looking around, just gutting a mac mini might be cheaper and more powerful. Though if i did that, i dont get the satisfaction of actually building it. EDIT: Wow. If i bought a Mac Mini with an education discount, it comes to around $550. It might be worth it just to buy it EDIT 2: I could also get a dell studio hybrid for 449, upgrade it a bit here and there, and wam bam its done
  8. I've wanted to build a NESputer for a while and have been looking up parts to use. 9. Ah, that did the trick. Thank you very much.
  10. all the games i mentioned do have their own title screens/videos, but its not showing them. My guess is that its not reading the numbers or dashes. Like it reads Batman and Batman - Return of the Joker as the same thing. EDIT: Part of the problem is with the files downloaded from emuloader. In the case of the batman games; the titles, carts and box art is labeled "batman - the video game". The manual, snaps, and videos has it listed as just "batman" EDIT Squared: Oh, its because some folders are using the No Intro convention and others are using the GoodMerge convention. Could this be the problem?
  11. for some reason, game ex is displaying the wrong video/screenshot for certain games. For example (all relating to nes for the time being), back to the future 1 is showing the video for back to the future 2 and 3. while back to the future 2 and 3 is showing the title shot for back to the future 1. Also, bases loaded 1, 2, and 3 are all showing the bases loaded 3 video and the bases loaded 1 title screen. all videos, screenshots etc were downloaded from emumovies. the roms are correctly named too. what can i do?
