  1. ok...I got it now, Thanks for the help !!
  2. Hmmmm, the speak game name plug-in is disabled. What I'm referring to is the females voice that says like " welcome to gamex" at start-up. I'm using onboard audio and it makes it sound really scratchy.
  3. Thanks Tom, that worked for me
  4. After the last update I noticed a new speech system in GameEx, on my system it's sounds really scratchy. Is there a way to turn this feature on and off? I looked through the configuration, but couldn't find any setting for this. Did I overlook something?
  5. Does anyone have an idea of what theme this is ?
  6. Running Vista Ultimate 64 here...... no issues !
  7. I've used this program also. It seems to have a problem matching certain names. I was using it to match the Emu video clips to rom names. Seemed like some of the roms it just would not match to the videos. The file names would be almost identical, except for an underscore or something. I turned down the match percentage to below 10%, and that allowed it to match up alot more, but some would not match up with some of the roms at all. Human error may have played a part in this problem, as I didn't use it very long. I do plan to continue to use it, as it does make renaming files easier when you have a folder with hundreds of files you need to match with another file name. Great little app !
  8. Well, I uninstalled all my codecs and installed the vista codec pack. Everything seems the same, including the pops stopping and starting the arari 2600 videos. Those are the only clips I seem to have problems with. I tried to record my own atari 2600 videos using fraps while running the stella emulator, but for some reason fraps doesn't seem to recognize that stella is even running (I don't get the FPS in the top left). Maybe I'll try another emulator Yes, I have no sound card, I am using the onboard Realtek AC'97 codec also, which seems to work fine for most anything I throw at it.
  9. Hmmmmm, Well, I think this popping sound I'm getting may be a problem on my end. It seems I get this gnarly POP everytime I stop or start the clip in any spot. I have never had any luck with codecs. The clips play and look ok, but this pop has to be a problem with the audio part of my codec. I have Divx and xvid and the ac3 codec installed, so I'm not sure where else to go to solve this issue. I see a small divx watermark in the lower right of the clips, so I'm assuming thats what it was converted with. I may go with music for sound later, but for now I'm just trying to get it configured this way. Still trying to figure out a way to record a few of these clips from stella myself.
  10. The only forums it has links to are for here and arcade controls
  11. EmuMovies site directs users with questions to this forum, so I'm gonna ask in here Over the last 3 days I have downloaded almost all of the videos of thier FTP that I think I'm going to need for my cab. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the videos I have obtained from them. Yesterday I was configuring my atari 2600 video clips, and everything went smooth, but the 2600 clips have a loud popping sound at the beginning of ALL the videos for me. I'm unsure if this is something with the videos themself, or a problem with my system, as the popping sound is present on two different systems I have played them on. I tried a to use fraps to create a video, but fraps doesn't seem to record video with the stella emulator that I'm using. I also tried Cam Studio, but was having problem getting the audio to work at all. I was just wondering what program was used to create the 2600 videos that are posted on EmuMovies site. All I'm looking to do is replace a few select videos without this popping sound. Any Advice / Suggestions? Thanks in advance as usual
  12. Well, Thank you Sir ! That did the trick, and all is well
  13. I think I have it set properly, and yes, I'm using the latest version of bliss. Here is my current config: [Emulator_5] Enabled=True STARTPAGENAME=[Console] Mattel Intellivision (Bliss) TITLETEXT=Mattel Intellivision StartPageLogo=[Console] Mattel Intellivision ROMFilter= RomPath=M:\Emulators\Intellivision - Bliss2.0.5\Roms RomsInFolders= SnapPath=c:\emulators\Mattel Intellivision\Snaps\ TitlePath=c:\emulators\Mattel Intellivision\Titles\ BoxPath=c:\emulators\Mattel Intellivision\Boxes\ CartPath=c:\emulators\Mattel Intellivision\Cartridges\ ManualPath=c:\emulators\Mattel Intellivision\Manuals\ ControlPanelPath=c:\emulators\Mattel Intellivision\Controls\ InstructionsPath= WorkingPath=M:\Emulators\Intellivision - Bliss2.0.5 MapKeys=True WaitBeforeKeys=750 SendKeys=%{enter} ReplaceDash=False ReplaceUnder=True Capitals=False RemoveBrackets=True ShowDesktop=True Debug=False MAPFile= AlsoLaunch= Command=bliss.exe -fullscreen "[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]" LaunchBefore= LaunchAfter= configFile=[Mapping Off] Exit (Process Close) ExcludedFiles= CustomBackground= PlayMusic=False DontShowInfo= PlaySelectionMusic=False SelectionMusicFolder= PCGame=False DATABASE=[Console] Mattel Intellivision UseDbName= GamesIn7Zips=False PlayInScreenSaver=False ShowMostPlayed=True RandomMostPlayed=True CDCheck=False CDCheckFile= CustomArtName1= CustomArtPath1= CustomArtName2= CustomArtPath2= CustomArtName3= CustomArtPath3= [GENERAL] DumbyValue=
  14. I have been trying to get bliss to run in fullscreen on launch. No matter what command line I try it is always windowed. I read somewhere on here that it will open and run in full screen mode, but the command line that user was using is not working for me. The command line I'm using is - bliss.exe -fullscreen "[ROMPath]\[RomFile]" . Shouldn't that open the program in fullscreen or am I missing something? Bliss runs fine outside of game ex, but it is also windowed on start.
  15. Success !!!!! Uninstalled the divx and xvid codecs that I had installed. Then the videos would'nt play at all !! haha Re-installed only the xvid codec and there smooth now. Guess DivX was the problem.
  16. The problem I'm having is severe in my opinion. When I move the cursor from game to game the cursor actually changes to the blue system busy bubble for a full second or more before it starts the video. When I move rapidly down or up the list it's almost like the whole program hangs.
  17. Thanks for the suggestion; however, the only option in tweaks that I saw was "snap/video delay" changing this setting made no difference at all. Im going to try to remove all the installed codecs I have on the system and see if that does anything.
  18. Well, I got my info from Emu Movies and logged in. I am impressed with the quality of the videos and the FTP site in general. I do unfortunately experiance this lag hesitation, as I mentioned in my original post, while moving through the list of my games. It seems really bad for some reason to the point if I move through the list quickly it is like it is on the verge of locking up the program. Does this happen for everyone or is it something in my system not reading these videos quick enough? I installed FLV Player 2.0.25 and tried the .flv files off Enu also, but while it was trying to play the video clip it crashed the entire Game Ex program. The only type of video I have managed to get working smoothly are the .mng files. This hesitation with the .avi files is tolerable, but I would like to find a fix or workaround so they play as smooth in the interface as the .mng files. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance !
  19. Alrighty Then..... Just send in the payment with pay pal. Waiting for a login pass to check them out.
  20. HEY Thanks for the replies ! Yeah, I was looking over at the Emu movie site. How good of quality are the video clips they have there anyway ? I might just do that, it would save alot of time.
  21. Hi - New registered user of Game Ex here. I am in the process of getting my cabinet together and getting Game Ex configured on my computer to place inside the cabinet. Everything seems to be going alright so far, I did have a question about making MAME videos that you can preview within Game Ex. I created a few .mng videos with MAME that work great, but the file size is a tad big (between 15-50 Megs). I tried to use Fraps to record a few small video clips and then compress them to .avi files with the DivX and Xvid codecs. Both of the codecs compressed the clips and they play in Game Ex, but there is a slight hesitation (2 Seconds) before the clip actually plays and during that time the cursor displays the system busy bubble as it prepares the video clip to be played. This hesitation does not occur with the video clips that are in the .mng format, they play smoothly and instantly. Can someone advise me the best way to create clips of high quality before I attempt to make serveral hundred or possibly thousands (Gulp) of these tiny clips only to find out later I should have done it a different way? I looked and searched around on this forum and tried to google for help on this, but there didn't seem to be that much information around. IMO this is one of the coolest features of Game Ex and I would like to be sure I get these videos right. Thanks in advance !
