  1. Thanks Tom - much appreciated. Steve G
  2. Hi - yes I can confirm that it is the table in the log file. It only happening with a few tables, maybe 3 or 4. Attached are my video settings. I don't have a powerful PC - it is an AMD A8-6500 APU 3.49GHz with 24GB of RAM and I have a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti Graphics Card.
  3. Hi Scutters, Yes I think that is the case - just the ones that take awhile to load. Already using an SSD and have the relevant folders on anti virus exclusions :-( So no way of staying on the loading video longer then?
  4. Please see attached. PinballX.ini
  5. Hi All, Looking for help with a problem where o some tables the desktop will be shown between the launching video and the actual VBX table. Steve G. log.txt
  6. I open up all new tables outside of PBX first as generally there will be something that needs to be changed in the table script first and I must admit that I have not seen any Pinmame nag screens in a long time so maybe the vpauto.exe is no longer needed? Anyway, either way I have removed it and I'm happily added new tables and actually think about the next stage i.e. building the cabinet
  7. It is finally working perfectly with all 3 monitors - but I am hoping someone can explain why I started playing around with all the exe's with the "Compatibility mode" and noticed that the one that was having the most effect was "vpauto.exe". With it set to "Windows XP (Service Pack 3)" everything worked until the ball was rolling on the playfield and then it would freeze until I clicked on the playfield with the mouse. Finally out of sheer frustration I decided to see what happened if I removed the "vpauto.exe" and to my unexpected delight everything is running without a hitch, so then I am wondering why it was needed - but what I can't explain is when I look at the log file it is still showing the entry "C:\PinballX\vpauto.exe" even though the file is no longer there? Steve G.
  8. OK, well I have just tried a EM Table (which does not use a DMD/pinmame) and that works fine on a two monitor setup when launching via Pinballx. With SS tables that utilise a DMD/pinmame I can get them to work by clicking on F3 after launching via Pinballx in a two monitor setup.
  9. lol... could not have said it better myself - it's very frustrating!!
  10. Hi rockyrocket, yes I do.
  11. Well yes as far as I know I have and like I say again it works fine as a two monitor setup when running direct from VP.
  12. Well this seems to be going from bad to worse. I decided to try a two monitor setup just to see if it was the 3rd monitor causing the problem and now - every time I launch a table through Pinballx the DMD (rom) is hidden behind the backglass but if I run direct from VP everything works fine.
  13. Well getting a gfx card that supports 3 monitors is my next step - my son has one in his PC. Just got to persuade him to let me try it!!!
  14. I have not decided if I am going to use the nudge device for buttons or a separate encoder, but at the moment this is all a test rig and I am still using a normal USB keyboard. At the moment the nudge device is unplugged and the only USB inputs are the keyboard, mouse, 3rd monitor and WiFi.
  15. Yes I know, I was just kidding - as a last resort I have uninstalled everything and I am going to start again. Steve G.
