  1. Hi All, I don't remember well but I think that I saw one time a post where Tom said that game title would scroll if not totally displayed or perhaps I'm going mad lool Anyways with Gamex 8.00 the game title doesn't scroll. Is there a setting to change somewhere ? N.B. : By scrolling, I mean Game Title going from right to left to display the entire game title if needed. If it doesn't exist I thing that it would be a great feature no ? Thanks in advance Jontox

Thanks Tom this exactly what I wanted Headkaze, I had a look at Arcade Arts but the only thing I found was that file Arcade_Buttons.eps.zip Unfornately they are no layers and translucent background when I open it with Photoshop. Any other suggestions ? Jontox

    GameEx LOGO

Hi All, Could so provide me a PSD File of the official GameEx Logo + Title ? This is the one present on the homepage. Furthermore, I'm currently creating an instructions card for my GameEx Cabinet, I can't find any buttons, joysticks artworks, icons, PNG etc... In example, what I'm looking for is graphics that will be incorporated to the instruction card, in instance, buttons, joysticks you see when using WINIPAC, MACIPACS, JOHNNY5 CP viewer... Is there a place to download them ? Thanks in advance Jontox
  5. I've already done that Michael. What I was describing is the resulting behavior when the mouse is presumably disabled.
  6. Hi, I've installed Speech Plugin. First, it seems I can't configure it at all. By going in GameEx Plugin Configurator, I can select speech plugin and activate it but not launching Speech Control Panel. Furthermore When you select a game, the name of the game is pronounced but the history of the game (if it exists) is directly pronounced as well. When you select back to return to gamelist, the speech sound is ongoing till the end of the history text. Is there a way to stop speech plugin to work when you select back to return into Mame game list before the end of the history game description ? Thanks for your help Jontox
  7. Hi All, I've been playing with mouse disabled option lately. It seems that when it is turned ON. I can still get the mouse cursor appearing in GameEx by moving the mouse. Left mouse button is disabled but right mouse button reacts like 'back button' in GameEx. The scrolling mouse button still works and scroll the Mame game list in Gameex Is there a way to totally disable the mouse ? All buttons should be deactivated, as well as mouse scrolling button and cursor. Thanks in advance for your comment Jontox
  8. It seems like there a lot more options available within the CONFIGURATOR if accessed in Gameex than by using the WIZARD.... BUG ? Jontox
  9. Thanks our grace :-) That was exactly where the option was... It seems like there a lot more option available within the CONFIGURATOR if accessed in Gameex than by using the WIZARD.... BUG ? Jontox
  10. Hi All, It could seem funny or amazing but I'm using last Gameex 7.71 with Configurator 1.77 and I can't find the setting to disable Radio. I would like to disable the Multimedia bar in the menu, the only thing behind that is Radio.... I have turned each radio one by one to off but it is still there. Help would be appreciated. Is there a way to disable that feature directly in the INI file ? Many thanks in advance Jontox
  11. Not yet any pictures running with GameEx (but my GameEx is already registered ) Lots of pictures are available : Arcadeus BLOG Story of the project is located at : Arcadeus BYOAC Thread Here are a quick snapshots See you Jontox
  12. This is absolutely Gorgeous !!! It is a pity that device was not yet released when my arcade cab CP was being built I had to go with fixed led colors. My newly finished cab if anyone is interested Arcadeus BLOG Marvelous headkaze!!! and great plug-in for anyone interested thanks for them.
  13. My 2 cents: I got the exact same problem trying to run Amos82's theme (made for higher resolution 1024...) into 800*600 or 640*480 screen resolution I don't think only Amos82's theme are concerned, but as they are my preference... I can only report issue with them. Jontox
  14. Hi All, Thanks for all you replies... with your help I managed to solve quite all my issues: 1 and 1bis) --> I've tried amos82 suggestion with no result. However I have pointed out that V1 Theme gave no error when running them in 640*480 while other V2 like Future Retro gives Directx Error when you force them to 640*480 and you reach games list. I'll post a suggestion for the Theme editor in order to make each V2 Theme created compatible with lower resolutions, or at least a way to easily convert them to 640*480 or 640*288. 2) The problem were avi files. As Adultery suggested they could be an issure with FFdShown codecs and avi file s from Pleasuredome. I've switched to MNG files (Crashtest collections) and they are working like a dream. 5) Thanks for your reply Atari800 6) Thanks hansolo77, you were right. Show only working games was flagged ON. Turning it OFF makes GameEx showing 6286 games :-) I'm left with a few unanswered questions, here there are ... --- Remaining questions --- 3) Run in ArcadeMode (Turn ArcadeMode on even if displaying at a suitable resolution). I can't see the point of that setting ? It means that if 800*600 is fored it will run in arcademode either ? but what is arcademode exactly ? 4) In the configurator, the shift key for Alphapaging and Volume is different, but I have seen some control instruction sticker done by member of the forum on which it seems that is only one shift buttons and that volume up and down is done with 2p Stick. ? How can it be ? 7) I've Nemo32 Plus! for all my Neogeo roms. Is there a way to tell GameEx that if I browse Neogeo game list in Mame that he has to browse Nemo32 game list and not Mame game list ? Furthermore I would like to be able to run each Neogeo games with Nemo32 PLus. Do I have to configure Nemo32 as another Emulator ?
  15. Thanks for your comment. I'll try that for sure. I suppose the 800*600 folder is included in the theme pack. Yes, I have selected Show clones with the conifgurator, perhaps it is not putting yes in the Gameex Ini file correctly. I will check it asap. Thanks Jontox
  16. Hi, 1) Problem related to amos_82 theme Future Retro What is the minimal resolution to which I can use it in gameEx ? 640*480 ??? I've an ARCADEVGA with BETSON 27'' Multisynch Default BluEx 640*480 gives me no issue at all. Future_Retro gives me an DirectX error. What is strange is that if I try to select in the configurator "Switch to resolution" with 640*480 specified Your theme appeared as out of the screen, I am only seeing the first quarter of the picture (top left hand corner). Why are new theme not mentioning resolution in the Theme selection picker ? 1bis) How can we resize any theme available to our whish ? I mean to a lower resolution than the one proposed... lost of arcade emu fan do have cab with arcade monitor or better a multisynch monitor. This means that theme with resolution higher than 640*480 is useless for them... Just my 2 cents.... I think that it is the main reason why other mame cab user are not using Gameex and remain with others frontend 2) The problem with using lists in all themes were related to videos. It seems that GameEx froze when trying to display video of the game selected (Yes I have ffdshow installed). Are avi file a problem ? It is the official pack of videos available at Pleasuredome 3) Run in ArcadeMode (Turn ArcadeMode on even if displaying at a suitable resolution). 5) If I select Mame32gui emulator to be run under Gameex, do I have to specify -video ddraw -nohmwstrech in Gameex if there are selected in Mame32gui ? 6) Mame32 !Plus is listing 6286 games where Gameex just 5240 games (No filter, adult and mahong games allowed). I've seen this issue quite a number of time in the forum but no real answer. Maybe Tom should review the code behing the listing games function... ... more questions to come :-) Thanks in advance for your help See you soon Jontox
  17. Have you tried turning off Tripple buffering feature ? Jontox

  19. Hi All, I'm a new registered User. I'm been playing with Mame32 Plus! with no issue at all. I've registered to this great frontend and after installation WIZARD, Gameex started without any problem. However when going into Mame game (All games) here is the error... This one is redundant with any other selections (Horizontal Games, Originals Games, ...) 21. Hi All, Here is an old topic (1 year old) that I found on the forum. I have quoted the most interesting reply that was posted by Toonces. ArcadeVGA Resolution I'm quite new to this great hobby and I have myself a Betson Multisynch 27" + Arcadevga card (I will post soon pictures of the carcade cabinet with Gameex runnning on it ) I'm currently trying to figure out the best way to use Arcadevga and my monitor as bboysnj and I'm sure lots of other people. Here are two interesting inqueries: Arcadevga has built-in arcades resolutions that GameEx is calling when a game is launch in Mame (Arcadevga setting turn on in Gameex). These built-in resolutions are a few in comparison to Mame emulated games list... 1- So, Gavin Benson's Resolutions ini tool (or any of these res utilities) are just putting one of these Arcadevga built-in resolution in ini file in Mame or are they writting additional resolution (than the once present in Arcadavga card) into these ini files ? 2- If these are adding in the ini files more resolutions that the one built-in in Arcadevga, are they supported by Arcadevga and displayed correctly when using ini files in Mame ? I don't want to open a huge debate but when this one will be clarified it could be easily added to the FAQ once for all Thanks in advance for any clarification on this by TOM or any other qualified GameEx user Here is a nice article I found on Retroblast on the subject... Retroblast Article Jontox
  22. Hi Tom, I would be really interested in this one. Reading the full topic make me think of a possible improvement in GameEX: Why not includes in this Avga text file all the resolutions settings for each game. This screen resolutions text file could be updated with Gavin Benson's Resolutions with any major update. Or at least as bboysnj has stated just work with Gavin Benson's Resolutions ini file generated in mame directory when AcardaeVGA is turn off in GameEx Just my 2 cents Great APP Tom !!! Jontox
  23. Marvelous headkaze !!! This will allow fully customization of the theme. :) Thanks a lot :) Note to the moderator: Be sure to create a Topic when this peace of software will come together with next release of GameEx. Everyone will be able to upload direclty his theme to share or at least post a link to it. Can't wait to see it coming ...
  24. Impressive work headkaze !!! Looking forward to testing it. Will it be possible to change CP background image, CP control colors (like purple joysticks or blue trackball and so on) ? Big APPLAUSE AGAIN
  25. Thanks for your quick reply headkaze
