  1. Thanks Tempest! Gave it all a shot but I got the same error from vpinball "Error loading file." Now here's what I tried and found, which makes it work. I had to move the .vpt files out of the individual subfolders and place them into the \tables directory. So a table that was located at \tables\adams family 2007\adams family 2007.vtp would generate this error. Moving this table to be this: \tables\adams family 2007.vpt works great! And yes, I do have the option enabled to include subfolders. Has anyone seen this situation?
  2. It's been a few years since i've been on the arcade scene. My cabinet has been sitting in my office collecting dust, only getting used when I have a few people over. I got the itch again and started browsing the forums last night, and feel good about being back. One thing, if you guys can help, that is driving me boggles is getting visual pinball to load a table properly. I've updated pinmame and vpinball. When launching vpinball right out of windows I'm now able to open a table, however through gameex I seemed to have messed something up over the years. What happsens is gameex minimizes, and Vpinball launches and says: Error Loading File I'm curious if I should extract my tableset that's torrentzipped? Thanks guys. It's too bad to hear what went down with nolo..I won't finish that. Here's my config: [Emulator_3] Enabled=True StartPageName=Pinball Games TitleText=Pinball StartPageLogo=pinball RomFilter=*.vpt RomsInFolders=True ROMPath=F:\Pinball\Tables (This is the location of my tables) SnapPath= WorkingPath=C:\Program Files\Visual Pinball (Fresh Install of VPinball) MapKeys=True WaitBeforeKeys= SendKeys= ReplaceDash=True ReplaceUnder=True Capitals=True RemoveBrackets=False AlsoLaunch=[apppath]\vpauto.exe ShowDesktop=True Debug=False MapFile= OLDatZip= Command=VPinball.exe -play -"[ROMFILE]" TitlePath= BoxPath= LaunchBefore= LaunchAfter= CartPath= configFile= ExcludedFiles= CustomBackground= Import= Export= DumbyValue= PlayMusic= PCGame= DATABASE=[Pinball] Visual Pinball GamesIn7Zips= PlayInScreenSaver=False DontShowInfo= PlaySelectionMusic= SelectionMusicFolder= ShowMostPlayed=True RandomMostPlayed=True ManualPath= ControlPanelPath= InstructionsPath= CDCheck= CDCheckFile= lastgame= UseDbName= MergeSets= CustomArtName1= CustomArtPath1= CustomArtName2= CustomArtPath2= CustomArtName3= CustomArtPath3=
  3. absolutely right, but I still enjoyed making my own
  4. I just updated to latest release, when I go to Last MAME Game and add the game to favorites, the "Add To Favorites" tag doesn't change to "Remove from favorites". However if you go back one menu and go back in it shows it "Remove from favorites" so it is in fact working. Just seems that it's not refreshing the status of it when clicked. -Matt
  5. good god man, where do you buy your crack? New auto-update feature is veeery helpful Now we know if it's stuck or not.
  6. That's a cool idea, post it in the feature requests section.

    nod32

I've pulled the IPAC out of the mix for the past few weeks, so my issue can't be that.

    nod32

After reinstalling windows, changing power supply, changing ram, changing video card, optical drives, then trying a new harddrive I have finally found out why Gameex randomly locks off and my screen goes in standby mode. Nod32! I've loved nod32 for the past years I've been using it, but I think the active monitor is choking it up because it tries to scan each file thats accessed, and when skimming through my romlist I believe its a bit too much overhead for it. Beware fellow users, it's had me down and pulling my hair (and pc components) out like made for 3 weeks.
  11. Isn't Pac-Man not technically a rom but more a driver? I swear I read that somewhere.
  12. Thanks! these are the ideas that I am looking for

    IPac users

Those of you with ipacs, after configuring your emulators and gameex did you ever come across a time like "shoot I should have configured a terminal to 'xyz' key"? I hope this makes sense. I'm about to rewire my ipac terminals and reconfigure the encoder and want to do it right and not miss any critical keys that I might need. I remember a few times I thought about some keys I should have programmed, but never wrote them down. -Matt
  14. Hahahaha absolutely right It's more about partying anyway
  15. A ) You provide a feature request forum B ) You complete people's wants C ) You do not require people to pay for using a functional product People who feel they deserve all your labor for free should not have the privilege of life. I work for a company that specially designs custom software, however we charge $80/hour for edits such as what you provide for free. F*&$ them and keep charging your nominal registration fee. Seriously man, it's nothing. I'm sure they've spent more than $20 in quarters at arcade machines, and I'm sure they're getting a great 'deal' on roms and your front-end; funny how they feel they are being taken advantage of for $20...quite the contrary
