  1. @Draco1962 thanks for helping. The only reason why the regular is linked to the c drive is because of the issue I am having with recognizing the games. F isa the drive where all games are on. The GameEx Aracde recognizing all games. You said ith is a MAME issue. But when in MAME these states save and load, when GameEx Arcade is working properly, it should also save and load these saem states, correct? In MAME itself these save states are working, They are not woring in GameEx Arcade. Is it then not a GameEx Arcade problem. I am not compiling myself, I downloaded a pack. But I am not having problems with MAME or its roms. I am having problems with GameEx.
  2. @Draco1962 Attached are both ini files. From the Arcade and regular. Mind you, with the regular I have the problems with loading of all games. I understand that the load/save states are handled by MAME and not by the frontend self. but at this moment the load/save states are working in MAME but not when I load up through the front end. 4. @tthurman Oops was looking wrong. Found it. Uploaded it with the current config which gives me a total of 287 (The Arcade edition gives 2000+) Later today I willl do a fresh install with the current config file as suggested above.
  5. @Tom Speirs You mean if the games work outside GameEx? They work in the MAME version. I just tried it with another MAME but the same results. ROM sets match the MAME sets. @Draco1962 Looked through the whole folder set up, can not seem to locate the GameEx.ini file? @Draco1962
  6. @tthurman Thanks for your help. I am not new to GameEx. Been using it for a couple of years. This just never happened before. I will later try Draco's suggesting and see if I can swop the gameex.ini file with the GameEx Arcade Edition since this seems to work fine. Already tried to install it a couple of times, it's on the C:'\ location.
  7. @Draco1962 MAME was also run as admin. Will try to do this with the gameex.ini file later today after work. Thanks for helping.
  8. @Draco1962 Just run and updated list as administrator and still only 277 games show up. Through the GameEx Arcade edition everything works fine, it is just the GameEx and apparently my verswion on Windows 10
  9. In MAME I am using the load/save states to keep the hi-scores. In GameEx normal edition this seems to work fine, in the Arcade Edition the states are not loaded on start and not saves on end of game.
  10. Okay, got the exact same setup working in Windows 7. There it shows me over 3000 games. In windows 10 it gives me only 200 games. Both 64bit and same set up. ROM sets are matching the MAME version. The games all play good through MAME itself. Update gamelist after every change. My title may say newbie but using GameEx already for a couple of years with different builds, so I know how to set up this Front End :-) Can it be a windows problem?
  11. Thanks, but this was one of the first things I tried. As suggested I also updated my ROM version. What puzzles me is that with the same setup all games appear in the GameEx Arcade edition but not in the regular GameEx. And to manually adding over 2000 games is not my idea of fun. @tthurman
  12. Hola Tom, so it will be included into future versions? Thanks!
  13. Updated to the latest MAME and ROM set I could find.. 0.210 Still only 200 games show up while they all work in the MAME player. Once loaded through GameEx nearly 80% won't show. They do show with the GameEx Arcade edition.
  14. I have the GameEx Arcade editon running with Mame 0.193. Just wondering if the load/save states are supported. At the moment it does not,. Is this a setting or not supported?
  15. Speaking about GameEx Arcade, does it support load/save states? It does not load and save the states. Is this a setup or is this not supported?
  16. I got now both GameEx and GameEx Arcade edition running romset 0.193. In GameEx Arcade they seem to be all there but in the regular GameEx only 273 games are appearing. I have attaced both logs and configs from recent setup. The games in the Arcade Edition work like they should. GameEx_config.ini GameEx-Arcadeconfig.ini log-GameEx.txt log-GameExArcade.txt
  17. Hola RedDog. At the moment I have both the GameEx and GameEx Arcade editon running and using the 0.195 romset. Yesterday I updated the game list in GameEx and it came up to roughly 200 games. I just installed GameEx Arcade editon and this came back with around 2500 games. So this one looks fine. Just to be clear. when I use directly though MAME all games are working. But a drop back to 200 is a bit to much. So far the GameEx Arcade seems to be working. Will try to update game list in regular GameEx later today. I seem to remember that the 0.195 version came from mamedev.
  18. Hi Draco, no real reason I am using the old sets. The games I play all work here so I saw no need to hunt down a newer rom set. Will start searching, but all games work in MAME self, the problem arises when I launch it through GameEx. Log file attached. log.txt
  19. Hello! I am using the latest version of Gamex and just tried with 2 different rom packs 0.105 and 0.195. Both packs works fine in MAME self, but once loaded through Gamex only a small portion of the games show up. It works the way it should, only around 200 games show up, not more. Attached the gameex file with the 0.105 conifguration. All other emulators work fine. Am I missing something here in the setup? GameEx.ini
