@tthurman Thanks ... It has been alot of hours I put into this to say the least. I've been down awhile as I was trying to upgrade my main system back to Windows 8.1 but was having too many issues with 8.1 I found that I just couldn't live with so I switched everything back to Windows 7. Oh well needed to cleanup my system anyways. Back working on the theme tonight ... started on AAE.

Yeah I wasn't happy with that. Doing it this way looks really good but like I mentioned before it is a long project as there are soooo many games to do and artwork for some are hard to come by so I'll have to work around that and make some custom art I'm sure.

I must say I just like my previous format I was doing for the 2600. It just makes the 2600 system just pop! So I am going back to my previous format. Just don't look for all these themes anytime soon. I am doing this mainly for my own personal use. I know there are quite a few that like them so when I finally do get this completed I don't mind sharing them with you all.

pop-up descriptions the ability to keep them on the screen all the time or fade out. Be nice if the users had the ability to specify how long to stay on before fading out.

Here is my latest revision using pop-up descriptions. Well at least with this one when switching between the different games you can see the cart images change as well. I have 641 cart images as well to go with this new theme completed including some homebrew carts as well.

I was planning on it ... gotta do something with my time until EVO arrives. The 2600 themes would of been nice but yeah I decided to scrap it. Might bring it back if EVO has better support for individual game themes as it stands GameEx is just too limited when creating individual game themes. They did look nice thou.

I'm working on a new revision of the original 2600 theme. It doesn't have the bell and whistles as my latest work but it will be an improvement which I think you'll like. I should have something up by tomorrow night.

I would .... however these type of themes are nowhere near complete and it will not work or look correct unless I have a theme for every game done. The only way to be able to release any packs is to create a custom map file and only display the game themes that are complete so then it would display correctly but then you would be missing all your other games until a theme is made. To be honest I might be better off waiting to see what GameEx Evolution features are. Because there might be a better and faster way of do this using the new theme format. I just don't know what GE Evo can do so I might just wait like everyone else for about another month and see what happens. Hopefully soon we can see a video or a list of features so we know what to expect. Right now I'm in the dark as far as what kinda themes I'll be able to make. I'm pretty sure thou Tom mentioned that upon release the GameEx themes will not be compatable with EVO so I'll probably have to start all over again unless I'm wrong about that.

Yes you would have to rename them to match your roms. This may all change by the time EVO comes out ... I just don't know the list of features EVO will have or what I will be able to do with it.

Here is the STEAM, GOG.com and SHMUPS themes. Unzip to your GameEx folder. I am not doing anymore themes for awhile as I have alot of Atari 2600 themes to do matter of fact in the neighborhood of 500+ so this will be the last one for awhile ... enjoy!

yes i need 1 file to be copied several times and match all the names of the zip files. So it needs to be renamed to each name of the zips.

I have like 100 zips in a folder that I want to create 100 png images from a single image is there a program out there that can do this? For instance: I have a png file called say games_logo.png and in my rom folder I have a bunch of games that I want to create png's using the png image games_logo.png. so I need the same image 100 times for example using the name of the zips if that makes any sense. Thanks guys. I thought awhile back someone made such a program on the forums but I can't seem to find it.
