  1. Ok Here's my question. I have two control swapable contro panels, one with standard layout, the other with trackball. Both use different interfaces wiz49 on one, optipac on the other. I need to switch the MAME cfg settings for each game depending on the control panel being used, as well as changing the GameEx interface keys. I also would like to have different GameEx Favorites listed (not much point in listing missile command without a trackball.) At present I have two copies of Gameex installed and two versions of mame. Clicking on one gameex app will open the settings for trackball the other for the regular control panel. Is there a better way to do this? I notice that the config utility does not work for the second gameex intall even though its in the same folder and I had to modify the Gameex settings file manually. Otherwise it seems to work ok.
  2. Ok. I've searched and can't find any info. Im using 2 Wiz49's for my control panel with two 49 ways. The wiz49 is recognized as a Game Controller, and only allows you to assign Joystick buttons, no keyboard characters. The problem is, although I can assign joystick buttons in 'custominput' for the 'select', 'back', 'page up' functions, there doesn't seem to be a way to attach the 'Home' Function. Any ideas? I'd rather not use an Ipac just to get one keyboard function. Thanks
  3. Of course, I'm a mostly mac user and forgot about that option.... Could I make a shortcut for the hi-score list and share it among the instances?
  4. I have several swapable CP's and would like to create "favorite" lists for each (not much point in listing driving games for my trackball control panel) It would be nice if we could have several different "favorite" choices. I know it's been brought up before and I think I remember seeing it in the requested features post, but I haven't heard much on the topic lately. Is it a really tough add on? Thanks Much MobyIck
  5. Enabling triplebuffer is known to cause sound glitches in some games. I just modify the settings for those games specifically. I find that leaving triplebuffer on by default is preferable.
  6. Since upgrading to 5.50 (or thereabouts) I've been having some odd sound problems. Whenever I put my PC to sleep while Gameex is running (my system for shutting down my Cab) when gameex comes back up, the audio in my games is distorted at times. The sound problem doesn't go away until I reboot my machine completely. I've been running previous versions without a hitch, and only noticed this new problem after one of the upgrades a week or two ago. It doesn't matter if gameex is running from the selection screen or if one of the games is running when I put it to sleep, I still get the problem. Any suggestions?
  7. I Bless you and my spouse blesses you. Just saved me another 2 hours of fiddling....
  8. I'm trying to get Visualboyadvance to run in fullscreen but the problem is it requires the esc key to hide the menu bar. Of course, Gameex then exits the emulator.... I tried the config below figuring the use of SendKeys={esc} and MapKeys=false would do the trick but it still exits the emulator after the delay. Not sure if it matters but I can't run it with ShowDesktop=False (it just shows a black screen). Am i missing something? I don't think I uderstand Mapkeys real well I'm afraid....
