  1. As promised, here's my cabinet. All artwork and theme are 100% original. These first two show my custom GameEx theme, bezel and cpwizard layout arcade cabinet (1/4) arcade cabinet (2/4) I can't post all the content, check out the link below for more video and pictures! Link to my BYOAC thread Project Capcom
  2. Well first the inevitable trip to Disney World, and then it's off to Naples for true sunshine. Although I have to say I always end up missing the horrible Chicago weather for some reason. Also, thanks for the help Tom.
  3. Hello all, I am going to be living in Florida for a few months so I will be away from my cabinet I want to duplicate my gameEx install onto my laptop to bring with me. Once I download and activate GameEx on my laptop, can I simply copy over my cabinet GameEx folder and replace my laptop one? I know I will have to change rom and emulator paths and such but I think this should work, I even run the same resolution on my laptop so my custom theme won't be a problem. Just wondering if anyone has tried this or if there are any system specific files hidden somewhere that GameEx needs to see.
  4. Looks great, I'm curious as to how you plan to get rid of the menu bar in your new theme as that is something I have always wanted to disable in mine.
  5. Chicago, Il wooooooooooooot
  6. Problem solved, snaps best match was somehow set to no (slow Drives). Setting it back to yes enabled all snaps.
  7. Besides corn? haha. Everything is validating fine and gameex is seeing all of the art aths correctly, I am stumped. If no snaps were appearing it would be an easier solve but why only some are displaying beats me.
  8. Hello again all, Some of my snaps have stopped displaying with no changes to my system whatsoever. My mame snaps display fine along with my atomis wave snaps. That is it. I thought at first it was strictly an emulator problem but atomis wave is set up as an emulator. To put it in scope 2 of 12 confirmed working snap sets are displaying. Any common fixes for this simple and frustrating problem?
  9. Another way is if you're using the theme editor, go to edit on the top menu bar, then option./ In the options dialog box click settings and uncheck animated backgrounds. This is exactly the same as what HeadKaze is telling you to try, just in a different way.
  10. Yes, thank you to the author for a great and easy to use program!! O and tempest you're correct about the path thing, can't believe I didn't notice that... thanks again.
  11. Hello all, This may seem like a stupid question but I can't figure out how to make GameEx launch on windows startup. I have been through the advanced config a dozen times and I haven't found an option. I'm using windows xp sp3. Also, I am trying to launch a universal pause program (thanks to whoever linked me to it) in the launch on startup box, I set it so the program, pause.exe. However on launch gameex crashes with the error "file not found" I have tried moving the program around to different directories with no results. Thanks! O and my cabinet is finished, I will post pictures of my GameEx theme and cabinet later today.
  12. Awesome, thanks for all the hard work.
  13. I found out that by disabling filters, Empire City appears. I went and checked my mame32 and Empire city appears as a child of parent "1931 bootleg?" So obviously the bootleg in the parent was what was holding it back, although I never had it not show before and I have not changed filters at all, ever. As for solar warrior, it appears with its non U.S. name , Xain'd Sleena. I also checked mame32 and solar warrior appears as a child of Xain'd Sleena. Any idea on how to get solar warrior to display in the mames game list? I know where to find it with its new name but anyone that's over would never even think to look at Xain'd Sleena Thanks for the help frequency.
  14. After hours of trial and error I figured this out. The game will not run unless the shortcut is on the same drive as the .exe. So like Brian said I threw the shortcut into the sfIV install folder and it works great. I've noticed now after some hours of play on my cabinet over new years that some mame games are missing from my game ex list that were there before? In particular Empire City and Solar Warrior are gone, but the roms are still in my mame folder. Was there an update to game Ex that may have hidden these games? I rebuilt my mame game list but they are still missing.
  15. Hello all, First off my cab is almost done I will post in the cabinet gallery as soon as I can so keep an eye out. I have Street Fighter IV running through game ex. The game will open fine, I see the game launch and the window go fullscreen, but then it quickly returns to game ex and crashes with an unhandled error (-2) I am using a -play suffix at the end of my shortcut so that the launcher window for street fighter never appears. This way I don't need to send any keys to launch the game. The game runs flawlessy outside of game ex launching off of the same shortcut that I have game ex trying to launch. Anyone have a working config they can post? Although I don't think it's my config because like I said I can see the game launching fine. Thank you and please help in my New Years party dilemma!
