An interesting follow up to this.... I tried this both ways you suggested Toonces, but can only get it to work for me using set49mode commands. When I use the GPWiz49 commands, GameEx gets hung up, when I ctrl-alt-del out to my task manager, the GPWiz49 GUI is waiting in the background for me to make a selection and then will go into the game once a selection is made. Not a complaint, I am happy one method works, just interesting the way the other works in my situation, just thought you might want to know. Thanks again, Marty

I am hoping someone else here can shed light on how to set up GameEx for use with my GPWiz49 MAX. I have gotten all of the GP Wiz software installed and gotten things working per Tiger-Heli's page Tiger Heli's set49mode and it works great. I'd now like to get it incorporated into running with GameEx and it's not clear per Tiger's page how to set things up. He has info for MameWah and Emuloader but not much else. If anyone has done it for GameEx, could you post how you got hings set up? I assume it's something simple I am just overlooking. Thanks for the help!

Another update, I installed this on my Dell Latitude D600 laptop with Win2K and it runs like a champ without me turning off anything.... I have no idea what is causing the issue in my PC, it runs everything else I have just fine.

Ok, I changed the things you stated should be switched and turned on sound and the gamepad. This is being run on local disk, checked for any funky apps and spyware and it is clean. Maybe there is just something funky with this PC, I will try it on my slower laptop, and see how that works. This isn't the PC I will be using in my cab, I am just trying to get the kinks worked out for the one going in, maybe there is some underlying issue somewhere else. The issue is less one fo being slow, and more like it is jerky. I use Pac Man (Midway) to test. Pac runs fine to the corner, then will freeze momentarily, then go normal speed, then freeze, repeat process.... If you have any other ideas, i'd love to hear them, thanks again for the suggestions.

Hey there, thanks for the reply, I did both of those things just now, and even re-installed GameEx and it did not help me. Not sure what else to try, no animations, set to 640x480, tried a few other versions of Mame, all with the same results.

I have gone through the posts here and changed everything that is stating would help speed things up, and gone through posts over at BYOAC as well with no avail. Maybe someone has a couple more ideas for me or could look at my ini? Thanks for the help, I am guessing maybe I have missed something easy. I have the latest .NET, I am using an AMD XP 2800 with 768 MB RAM, latest drivers on my Radeon 9800 Pro, with Windows XP, all my other front-ends seem to run pretty quick, but this is really the one I would like to get running.
