  4. It does.

  6. Not a virus, I've started clean with my new hard drive. I'll replace the cable and see what happens.
  7. Bought a new Maxtor 80gb hard drive...same thing.
  8. There is a program called clrmame that updates your existing roms to the current version of MAME. I tried using it once and ended up screwing em all up and reinstalling them, but that's just me. I just use whichever version of MAME my roms were made for at the time.
  9. Yes, it will start to launch and then go to that log. It does seem to be doing it less frequently now though. There is that and also every 2nd or 3rd time I try to run configuration it says it is not a valid win32 application. Don't know if they are related. Both are temporarilly resolved by re-installing.
  10. Looks a lot like mine.
  11. I have clones turned off and I was playing around and noticed some games that I don't consider clones to be missing. For example, NBA Jam shows up on my list but not NBA Jam Tournement Edition...Double Dragan (Playchoice-10) but not the original arcade Double Dragon. Is this something I have set up wrong or does it just recognize them as being clones? Is there a way to "uncheck" individual games from the clone list so that they show up? Also, is there a way to filter clones from other Emu's such as ZSNES? Thanks
  12. I love GameEx. I looked at several different frontends and most were really a bit overwhelming for a newbie like me. GameEx is was really easy for me to get running and does everything I wanted it to and more. Most of the problems I've had are more likely than not operator related.
  13. The first time I cut and pasted the new file and clicked "yes" to overwrite. Tried it again but deleted the original file first just to make sure. Still got the same log.
  14. Looks the same as the last one. log.txt

    Error

I get this error almost every other time I open GameEx. I re-install it and it runs fine. 18:47:43.0 3/14/2005: GameEx: Version 3.44: Starting Log 18:47:43.1 3/14/2005: Operating System Platform ID: Win32NT 18:47:43.1 3/14/2005: Operating System Version: 5.1 18:47:43.1 3/14/2005: Running Randomize() 18:47:43.1 3/14/2005: Running Misc startup tasks 18:47:43.1 3/14/2005: Hiding Cursor 18:47:43.2 3/14/2005: Opening Configuration File 18:47:43.2 3/14/2005: Getting Configuration Values 18:47:43.2 3/14/2005: Using Theme: Default - Default 18:47:43.2 3/14/2005: Checking for alternate Image Directory for Theme: Default - Default 18:47:43.2 3/14/2005: Applying Language/Text 18:47:43.4 3/14/2005: Launching HideOS.exe 18:47:43.5 3/14/2005: ERRORS DETECTED: EXITING
  16. Where do I find the MAME launch parameters?
  17. Got it going, thanks.
  18. Went to my mame directory and didn't see a mame.ini file. Did a full system search just to make sure I wasn't crazy and came up with nothing.
  19. I'm not sure if this is a MAME question or a GameEx question but I just got my usb trackball in the mail and I'm having trouble using it. Do I need to enable it somewhere? When I go to input settings within the games they have 'left arrow', 'right arrow', etc set for the controls. How do I change that to mouse settings? The trackball does control my pointer within GameEx so I do know it is working. I'm sorry this is probably a stupid question but I really am stumped. Thanks
