  1. How do you run games that require a cd without having to change the cd for each game? I tried using programs like Game Jackal but there were some problems and they wont configure right. Does anyone have any solutions? (other than no-cd cracks).
  2. got it! neeeeeeeevermind! the solution came to me during an episode of "that 70's show"

    Dos Games

does anyone have a way to run old dos games on gameex with windows xp? i want to run cyberdogs and c-dogs (games i played when i was really young) but i cant get them to run... i have them working with dosbox... but i dont know how to configure it in gameex. should i somehow skip dosbox? do i configure it as an emulator? can someone paste their configurations for me? thanks -nick
  4. mine is still slow and choppy on 81.98, but not when i roll back to the nov 2004 release.
  5. gameex works properly only with old nvidia drivers. all the consol/mame games i have work great with the old ones but pc games SUCK with the old ones... most of them flicker horribly. is the problem with the drivers expected to be fixed any time soon? i would think that this would be sort of a priority... but then again i'm nobody lol
  6. what is the earliest version of mame that works with gameex? i have the 062 roms and if i can avoid updating i will... (unless there's a good ftp site to download a full rom set). i dont want to bother to go thru a burner right now.
  7. thank you chal, you're awesome. did the trick.
  8. got it all figured out... after finding the log file . i wont always be a n00b! it has to end sometime!

  11. ok, i've gotten through the choppy nvidia driver problem, added all the emulators i'll use, and set all the settings exactly as i want them. one problem: no mame roms show up. i have the directories set correctly... i updated the list with the command prompt -listupdate, everything plays on the mame emulator itself---but in gameex, when i go into "mame" i get a message that says "--NO GAMES FOUND--" if i need to post info, i'll need to know what folder to open... otherwise, thanks for the tips!!!!!
