  1. Thanks, worked great.
  2. I like the addition of Gamebase just started setting it up for the first time and have it working but have a question. When a game is loaded that displays the documentation (ex: Donkey Kong by Ocean) Esc is used to continue the game but GameEx see it and quits the game and returns to GameEx menu. Is there an easy work around for this? Another question: Is there a way to change the name of Gamebase in the GameEx menu? Mine shows up in Emulated Games as GBC_V07. Edit: I found out how to remap the Run/Stop key. Also noticed the Run/Stop key is also mapped to "Caps Lock".

GameEx version 10.21 has fixed the database problem I was having. Thanks!!!
  4. For the 7800 I use the "Prosystem" it seems to work well. Are you able to run the Games through Mess without GameEx? It has been a while since I configured Mess for the 5200 but I think I had to setup Mess first. Here is the command line I use in GameEx to launch my Atari 5200 through Mess. mess.exe a5200 -cart "[ROMPath]\[RomFile]" -joy -now -nonewui

I deleted three files for the 5200 emulator. EMU_2.dbcache EMU_2.dbcacheini EMU_2.map They were recreated with the same info and same results when I add the 123.zip info. It is probably something I did or doing wrong. Contents of EMU_2.map when working: 123.zip "Filler" gorfdigj.zip "Gorf" Gyruss (1982) (Parker Brothers).zip "Gyruss" Miner2049er.zip "Miner 2049er" MissileCommand.zip "Missile Command" MsPacMan.zip "Ms. Pac-Man" Qbert.zip "Q*Bert" SpaceInvaders.zip "Space Invaders" StarWarsArcade.zip "Star Wars: The Arcade Game" Contents of EMU_2.map when not working: gorfdigj.zip "Gorfdigj" Gyruss (1982) (Parker Brothers).zip "Gyruss" Miner2049er.zip "Miner2049er" MissileCommand.zip "Missilecommand" MsPacMan.zip "Mspacman" Qbert.zip "Q*Bert" SpaceInvaders.zip "Space Invaders" StarWarsArcade.zip "Star Wars: The Arcade Game" The cache files are created automatically and update automatically when I remove the 123.zip rom. Not sure if any of this helps.

Odd, I have been working in the Atari 5200 database and have had mixed results. I couldn't get some to work no matter what I did until I added a fake ROM 123.zip in the ROM folder and in the database. I'm not sure if it is me or a bug. Some of the ROMs that wold not work until I created 123 entry: Misslecommand mspacman Miner2049er gorfdigj (This is a patched version of Gorf) Not sure if anyone can shed any light on what might be happening. As of now it seems to be working.

What field is the rom name and what field is what you want displayed in the list? GoodName NoIntro TOSEC Sorry, I am feeling stupid asking so many questions. I think I tried each combination and didn't work.

This is where I am confused. When I enter the info in the database in this case it is the Atari 5200 DB. The game name still shows the name of the zip file and none of the game info shows. Are one of the fields the name of the zip file (ROM)? Any how thanks for the reply.
  10. I would like to add some new Homebrews and hacked Atari roms to my databases. I don't understad how the system works. I haven't had much luck. Say I have a rom named MsPacMan-hac.zip and I would like the name displayed "Ms. Pac-Man Hacked" how would I input the information into the Atari 5200 database? If what I am trying to do is not possible that is fine also. GoodName NoIntro TOSEC --- The other fields are a given. Edit: I forgot to mention I have the database selected and enabled. Thanks, Mark
  11. Very nice theme. I just tried it on my test machine and it looks great, I like it allot. Later I will be trying it on my Arcade Machine I hope it looks as good since my arcade macine can only display up to 800x600. Thanks for creating the Theme.
  12. Tom, I didn't want to waste too much of your time so I rolled back to version 0.131 of MAMEUIFX and it looks like all is back to normal. I was using version 0.131u2 FIX it seems like something in this build has changed. I was just in MAMEUIFX forum a little bit ago and it looks like there won't be any updates any time soon to this flavor of MAME project has been put on hold. Thanks for your help.
  13. # Only list MAME games that you have on your hard disk ROM directory. How does this feature work? I originally thought that this stopped working since the latest update of GameEx but Tom stated this is not the case. I have two machines running the same version of GameEx and mameuifx32 (Latest version) and I have the same problem on both machines. I am getting all 8000 or so Games listed in GameEx. Luckily I zipped up my GameEx folder so I was able to get my MAME listing back. If I update the MAME list all 8000 games show up no matter how many times I update the list. Same for both machines. How does this feature work? Could the version of MAME be affecting this?
  14. I still haven't figured out why this is happening. I am a little nervous to upgrade my MAME Cab since I am having problems with my test machine.
  15. I'm not sure if this is related to the update but now all 80000 or so Mame games are showing in my list. My Gameex.ini # Only list MAME games that you have on your hard disk rom directory. OnlyRoms=True Thanks, Mark
