omg, thats why it didnt load. they are not roms. they are just pre-loaded paths. i am a total doof.

when i downloaded the gameEx arcade edition and went through the set up, there were tons of old school arcade games already there. weird. but again, they dont load. the screen says play now and when you press enter, the screen goes black and sends you back to the game launcher screen.

Tom, yes, i was trying to launch one of the preloaded games in arcade mode. i have not yet tried to load a game with one of the other emulators i downloaded. im not to sure where I would need to save them. any advice on that?

any idea of which plugin?

yes. it appears as though the game is about to launch but instead the screen goes black and then it returns to the launch screen. I uninstalled and then reinstalled and got the same result
