cheers for the best wishes lads My avatar is indeed from Blood Sport. Here's the scene in question:
I've got a thing for ridiculously corny movies (indeed, my username is from Ford Fairlane - its the name of shockjock DJ Johnny Crunch's boat).
Not that I've been active (lurking, always) lately anyway, but I'll be quiet for a while yet... I've got a baby (our first) due in 5 days Had to give up one of my cabs to my brother to make way for the nursery, so I'm on tonight ironing out a few glitches with various emulator configs tonight, ready for the cab to be taken away on Tuesday.
BrutalDeluxe is on the money.. not that I've tried it before myself, but you should just be able to grab a standard pushbutton (and switch etc), and wire it up that way. Trace the 2 thin cables from your Power button back to your motherboard. Find where they connect to on your motherboard. Find a suitable jumper you can use, and wire up to a standard pushbutton. Should be easy.* The opinions expressed in this post are not supported by GameEx, or even by its original author.
shutdown.exe is indeed what you're after, dude. just add a -f in there, that switch forces all running apps/prompts to close. to shut down your cabinet PC from remote: shutdown.exe -s -m \\arcadepc -t 5 -f -c "shut down you bastard" or locally: shutdown.exe -s -t 5 -f -c "shut down you bastard"
To be fair mate, my involvement was post-derailment. Like a train going over a cliff - the derailment itself is just when the train leaves its tracks. I just introduced the cliff into proceedings Apologies regardless, HK
Learn to love google, dude. http://www.google.com.au/search?hl=en&...earch&meta= suzo probably rebadge an ELO or 3M touchscreen.. try one of those drivers.
If you've registered, GameEx already does CBR for ebooks and comics, which isn't quite what you're after, but can do PDF's for game manuals.. PDF's are a more common choice for manuals I'd say... Most manuals archives are in .pdf. http://www.gameex.net/About/Features/tabid/69/Default.aspx
how did you "lose" that drive"? any chance there was some additional damage to your PC? (ala power spike, etc). Could be anything though, if reloaded = reinstalled Windows, drivers, GX, etc. Try turning the debugging option on which creates the last played game batchfile (sorry, haven't looked at my cabinet in a month! - SACRILEGE!), and running the batchfile outside of GameEx... ie - is it GameEx or one of the emulators causing grief....?
congrats mate, enjoy the day ps: crap mate, you scared the shit out of me - I thought I'd forgotten to call my dad yesterday.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Father's_Day - we Aussies don't do father's day until September
1) Not bad dude. I would've given this a shot had I not given up on my MCE rig a long time ago. 2) You should also check out the hacked MCE driver and HiP.. http://www.byremote.com.au/downloads/default.asp?SCLASS=HIP. 3) Your website/company name utterly rules.
A lot of them will work with the LCD plugin.. if not, definitely talk to HK. Also, LCDSmartie works with craploads of VFDs, and GameEx has a plugin for it.
Look in the Setup Wizard, under "Advanced MAME Settings" - on page 3, there's a series of categories. The one you're after is "Show MAME Golden Era". If you want to prune the list of games, just turn on/off those categories. I'm dead against collecting statistics, because the world would know what an utter tragic I am at my favourite games, "Terra Cresta", "Image Fight", etc.
