  1. Hi: This is our first attempt at a MAME arcade cabinet and we would like some feedback, this took longer than I could have ever guessed, but it is finally complete. Here are some pictures: as you can see it is a Star Wars Empire Strike Back theme. We have a 27 inch Happ VGA monitor, a SlikStik classic controller, two ACT labs Heavy Duty PC USB light guns, and a working HAPP dual coin door with power to the coin door lights and credits register when inserting a quarter. We also installed two eight inch computer case fan on top of the cabinet to increase air flow with hole in the base. To access the computer are using a remote login also a wireless keyboard and mouse. We started using 3Darcade for the FE with all the 3D models of the cabinets and the videos. But now we have switch to GameEx for a FE it is more reliably and ease of use. The computer is an older Gateway 2.3Ghz Pentium with 2 GB of Rram and Nvidia GeForce4 graphics card and 1.5 TB of hard drives we were planning to use this as a media server to. Now for the games will have MAME & MAME32 running with the classical four and eight way joystick games also tracker ball games like Golden Tee, and light guns games. Also we have Pinball Mane running with several tables. We also have Daphne running Dragon Lair, Space Ace, and Dragon Lair 2 etc. We also have a virtual CD running also so we have the American Laser Game which were light gun laserdisc games example were Mad Dog McCree and Crime Patrol. Also using the virtual CD and the light guns were are running the House of the Dead 1, 2, 3 and Virtual COP 1, 2.. The next project is a cocktail table if anyone has any tips for the first time MAME cabinet builder or any other games we can add in please e-mail or post on the forum. Thanks
