The cab is at my weekend house so I won't be able to see if it is just some or all vertical games it is doing it on. Windows forced an upgrade to Windows 10 from Windows 7 and now the bluetooth disappeared from the system. So far I haven't had any luck restoring it so I may even have to do a full new install if I can't get it working and that could fix things but it's been so long since I set up the system and all the utility mapping programs, etc. I can' t remember everything I need to do. sigh

I'm running the Ultimarc ArcadeVGA 5000 and a Makvision 25" tri-mode monitor. It's set at 640X480. It seems as if it is running lower than 640X480 for some of the game though, 1941 being one example.

OK, I tried to upgrade but it still seems to be doing the same thing. I'm attaching updated gameex.ini and log.txt files. Hopefully I am doing things correctly, as it's been a long time since I've used a PC as I've been using Macs for years now. GameEx.ini log.txt

I was running Windows 7 before and Microsoft forced an update to Windows 10 and somehow some settings must have changed. I am running GameEx Ardcade and now it seems some of the vertical games no longer fit on the screen. For example, I'm playing 1941 and the game image seems to be bigger than the screen. I've tried looking it up back can't figure out what setting I should be looking at to fix this. The first image is from a new full setup I just did with Launchbox that is working ok and the second image is from my GameEx Arcade setup. Can anyone please point me in the right direction.

I had already taken out a membership and was looking at the FTP site for the pathway you had posted. It appears that they have changed the files and only show ftp://rgelfand@files.emumovies.com/Official/Video Themes (HD)/MAME (Video Themes-HyperSpin)(4x3)(HD)(CriticalCid 1.4) which I assume is the correct one to download. Is that correct?

Thanks Draco. Just one thing, when I follow the link to the file /Official/Video Themes (HD)/MAME (Video Themes - Unified)(4x3)(HD)(CriticalCid 1.2) it doesn't exist. I only see Hyperspin files. Any suggestions?

I'm trying to get the background video themes running on my Arcade edition but am having no luck finding them. I know they are supposed to be on Emumovies but I haven't been able to figure out which file it is that has all of them. Can someone be so kind as to tell me which file(s) I need and exactly where they are on Emumovies. Grateful for your help.

I am running GameEx Arcade edition. The system worked great for a long time and then a while ago it stopped showing the preview videos. The area where the preview videos used to play is black but you can still hear the audio of the previews. I found a download for the LAV Video Codecs 0.74.1 which says it will fix this problem and installed it but it didn't fix the problem so I assume I am doing something wrong. I did a straight install without resetting anything or configuring anything. What else am I supposed to do?

It looks like there is a newer version out now. Would I just download it and rerun the setup wizard? Will it just default to the previous settings when I run it or how exactly do I upgrade to the newer version?

I thought it was the latest but I'm not sure. When I check the version number it says 1.0.0.0.

Hi, I've got GameEx Arcade version up and running and I've included a shortcut in my startup to launch it. I'm also running Windows 7 Pro. When the machine boots up I get the Windows screen booting up, then I get my desktop, then the screen goes blank and I hear the sounds from GameEx starting up but then my desktop shows up again. GameEx is running but minimized on my taskbar. I haven't been able to figure out why it is running minimized on startup like that. With that said, I've checked the properties and made sure that it is set to run on maximized (I've also tried the standard setting too). Also, the first time I booted it it did run maximized but since then it keeps opening minimized as described above. Can anyone please lend any insight as to what I am missing.

I just had a new cab built and plan to install GameEX Arcade version on it. My question, as long as I am allowed to ask it here, is what is the best/most stable romset version that anyone would recommend. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
