I tried to reload gameex from scratch and that did not work. I am a newbe so I am not really sure how to run from a window. Thanks for all your help, I really want to get this running right.

I am running 5.25. I have the bypass set to off and it does not resolve at all.

When I lauch any game in mame it runns choppy. Every 1.5 sec it will pause for a split second. I ran mame without the front end and it ran fine. I am running a 2.9ghz pentinum with 1gb of ram so I don't think that is the problem. Any suggestions.

I just loaded GameEx today and it was very easy to use. My question is what is the best way to run pc games that require the cd to be in the cd drive. Outiside of GameEx I was using a program calle Game Jackal (www.gamejackal.com) that created a virtual file that would allow you to play the game without the cd. You had to start Game Jackal to start the pc game. Is there a way to use this with GameEx or should I create virtual drives. If I have to use virtual drives what would be the best way? I am pretty new to this and really just learning so my technical jargon may not be up to par but I would appreciate any help. Thanks Is there a way to preview the skins in the config program? That would be a great feature.
