Hi mate, Fantastic Theme.. Got mame setup perfectly. Regarding emulators. i.e. model 2 model 3 etc. Is there a way of making there game selection screens, look super, like the mame one? or am i doing something wrong lol.

My cabinet running GameEX. 27" CRT - 4000+ Dual Core - 3 Gig Ram - Creative 2.1 (With Car Speakers) 7600GT GPU. It took 5 months to complete,but i guess it was worth it. The main idea was to put the trackball elsewhere,And the idea has paid off to me. Other than that its the same as others ;-) Thanks for all the help,And to the makers of the software i use. i.e. GameEX,CPWizard,All the EMU Makers ETC.

Hi, If you create a shortcut of the Gameex.exe in you start/programs/startup folder,then this will make it but upon loading ur desktop.there's other ways,but this is the easiest

I know the left/down right/down etc, Are for diagonal movements. But when i do left/left it just defaults as none.So not sure what that's for.

Just checked,and there assigned to different keys.So that doesn't seem to be the problem.

Hi,Is there a way of stopping CPwizard opening when i use the save/load function in mame. And making it just open when i use the Pause button. I assume that saving/loading makes mame pause,hence the reason it opens. Any ideas? Cheers

Yeah that had me pickled for a bit,The black screen. Ive just stuck with the ones in my MAME32/Data Folder,as i put the updates in there. P.S. Just donated to the CPwizard m8,Dead impressed it.

If you got it from ultimarc,then it wont take long atall m8,There very quick for delivery.Good luck. P.S. One problem i had was the up and down were the wrong way around.If this happens its the 2 outer wires on the Y axis cable you have to swap around.

Hi, I did this m8,Just bought a Mini-Pac But with a TRACKBALL harness.Don't forget the harness mind,its a separate item.

K, ive got this sorted now. 1.Ive re-mapped my keys again,And realised that ESC is to exit the initial panel. 2.To stop this happening.I went into the CPWizard options,mame tab,then de-selected Use Overlay.With this ticked it crashed everytime. 3.Any help would be great on this. Cheers

Hi, i find that if you have sound enabled for the AVI's then this crashes gameex. So in adv config,disable that option. Also if your using a ATI gfx card certain drivers/cards used to do this,Think its been fixed though.

Hi, Just setup CPwizard through Gameex. Ive got a standard Minipac 6 button set-up.With default keymaping. Ive managed to get the viewer to work but i have a few probs. 1.When the game loads and shows the panel.I cant get past it unless i press my admin button enter(i think)?I map my button 1 to it,Which is LCTRL but it wont work? 2.When i do get past it,in game when i pause and get the blue menu up,Everything works fine,until i exit.Then i get a black screen,and have to restart everything. 3.After enabling CPwizard,Where does GameEx read the catver.ini etc etc.Couse now i have not got any MAME Game Category information.Ive got a catver in gameex folder,mame folder,and now CPwizard folder lol. Any help will be great,its a amazing app btw.

Hi m8,Sorted it in the end. I put my minipac back to default keys. Then used the Setup Wizard it basically says "press the button you want to assign",Instead of the manual edit in advance config. It worked perfect, Maybe this should be looked at in the next version. As the default 1sw1 is ctrlleft, And in manual .ini edit you cant input that. Cheers for the post bud.

Hi lads, I've ran into a problem,i've built a cabinet,Im fully registered and its the best money u will spend. The problem im having is. I've got a standard 2 player panel,With 6 buttons per player. And 6 admin buttons. using a Mini-Pac USB. Ive assigned new keys in Wini-Pac. And i wanted my button 1SW1 and 1SW2 to be my select and back buttons in game-ex. 1SW1 is assigned to 0,So i put 0 after the = sign in the .ini.And enable custom keyboard. But i just cant get it to work. Any ideas lads. Cheers

True,I guess im thinking with XP in mind, Yep,i still use ps2 on other machines. Since reading through the forums,most problems ive had,have been sorted by a post form you bud. ;-) Also regarding the auto-on for the pc. Mine has a option,so that when the PC is powerd off fully,i.e. im using a bucket switch connected to the strip plug fuse box. this will cut all power to the unit.Then when i flick the switch,it will turn the pc back on.Along with everything else. Its something like, Power on state after loss of power lol. Then you set it to alwatys on/auto on. Not sure if every bios has this though.

Didnt need drivers for the USB mini-pac m8. PS2 is a bit dated,plus USB you can hotswap. Usb always seems to be the choice for Keyboards/Mice. Also as said,with my Mini-Pac in USB mode only,it powers my trackball,where as the PS2 cant do that throught the minipac.
