  1. Thankyou! I am using Headcaze's winuaeloader to play games, but have a separate folder of demos and games in .adf format, which I want to run through winuae, and not via the loader. So really I'd like to know where I can download the programmes you mentioned from? I'd also like some advice on how to start up the programme with winuae, and close it down with winuae! Cheers!
  2. Hey Guys, both myself and another member ("denoiser") who has read our little winloader instruction page has come up with a problem - I'm also having the same problem! We've downloaded the screenshots and boxscans from the links you provided: http://gbamiga.elowar.com/files/@Main/Game...ete%20v1.5).zip http://gbamiga.elowar.com/files/Extras/Gam...ete%20v1.5).zip We've unzipped the files, and pointed winuaeloader to the unzipped folder (containing 0-9 and a-z). We've created a new folder to put the output files in, and pointed 'destination folder' to that new folder. When you click on create artwork, it creates three folders in the destination folder 'Gamebase', 'sps', and 'WHDload'. The problem is - these folders are empty? Obviously we're doing something silly - but I'm not sure what. It seems the programme is creating the folders to put the artwork in, but not actually converting anything. I've also tried pointing the source folder tab actually into an inner folder such as 'a', which directly contain files, but still no luck :0( Thanks guys.
  3. Hey HK - Enjoying playing games via the wonders of your loader. Its amazing though, that as I seem to get older, I seem to be awful at playing the games I once loved :0( Anyway, using your key mapping bit in the loader, I've configured port 0 to be a mouse, and port 1 a keyboard, as with the original amiga spec. Then my keyboard hack, connected to the keyboard port of the PC, supplies two joysticks and buttons for each side! I then configured the joysticks into the 'mouse' and 'keyboard a' sections of the loader - RESULT! It works fine for most things - but I realise that on some games (like "Supercars 2", or "Goldenaxe") I need to be using a configuration for two joysticks (rather that mouse and keyboard). I can easily open up the loader and toggle port 0 (mouse) into a joystick - but is there any way of doing this without having to open the loader and change the specs? Also some games require a joystick in each port - PLUS you needed to press a button on the keyboard for each player to toggle weapons, etc. Is it possible to configure the extra joystick buttons I have (which are unused as the amiga only had one fire button on its joysticks) to other buttons? Eg, button 1 = FIRE, but button 2 = AmigaShiftLeft, frie button 3 = LeftAmigaButton, fire 4 = RightAmigaButton....... ETC I can safely configure up, down, left, right and fire, but thats it I think? Was the Amiga just the most complicated game system ever?! Sorry if it doesn't make a lot of sence. Cheers!
  4. Shame. Any news on a release date? Any chance you will add this into your loader HK? I'm sure I can be persuaded to donate again ;0)
  5. Whats demobase? and is it hard to set up?!!?!?!?
  6. What a shame. Demos were very much a part of the Amiga, and I'd like to hope the programme will be updated. I've loaded that file (WinUAELoader\Data\WHDLoad.xml) up in word, and can see how it works (i think), but it would take me several years to get it right!! I think I'll leave it! I suppose I can just load the individual files into winuae that I download through KG's website, or will these only load through whdload? Blimey I'm out of my depth I think. I know I can download .adf files and play through winuae I think - maybe I'll just stick to them. We worked out how to get the games playing through gameEx, and I'm now been thrashed at all my old favourites. As soon as its my lads bedtime, I'm sneaking on the cab for extra practice!!
  7. Hello again.......! I have seen a number of .adf files (demos) that I'd like to download....Can these be changed into WHDload format and added to the database, or is there a way these can be added into the loader? Many thanks!!
  8. Australia?? I've been posting all through the day here in the UK - and its now 6pm - so you've been posting all through the night! Blimey. Thats devotion to duty :0)
  9. Not a problem. I presume sometimes you get people on here who simply can't be bothered to look for themselves how to do stuff. Or they wont be polite, or care about the amount of time taken for these things to be worked out. This ISN'T me however, I tried for days and days to no avail, and if it hadn't of been for you spending the time with me, I'd have got nowhere. Although I DID try to work things out for myself, using other posts, it just wouldn't work for me with my limited knowledge. At least now I can be called upon for advice myself from what I've learned, and my lad can enjoy all these games I've been going on about for years! BTW, where abouts are you based HEADKAZE? UK, USA, ETC?
  10. Just donated. Many thanks
  11. Can I also say that even though instructions that are written and presented with programmes may be easy to understand for some - to others they are impossible! So Many thanks go to HEADKAZE who has obviously taken a lot of time to help me out with this. Just one more thing - What does the 'convert artwork' bit do !! :0) Thanks J
  12. Your a star! I finally have amiga games running. Now just got to set up my GameEx to load them up. Which I hope to be able to do! Many Many thanks. You wrote the loader didn't you? Do you have a paypal donations page?
  13. Oops. I'll try downloading the others and try again! So lets say one of these games needs an update, if I just put the updates in the same folder as the games, will the loader select the game, and find the update also. Or is there another complicated ritual to patch the updates over the original games files? Thanks for your patience Headkaze
  14. Would those files be in the c:\emulators\winuaeloader\data folder?
  15. Sorry, games folder picture took a little longer to upload as it was bigger than 2m. Downsized it and uploaded it. I visited the page specified in the links section, and downloaded one of the 'packs' - february updates, to be exact.
