  1. Just the sort of reply I was looking for, thanks bk.
  2. I'm wondering if anyone has successfully put the gameex front end on a modded xbox, or if it's even possible at all. I've been looking into softmodding my xbox, and i'd love to have the wonderful gameex there as well.
  3. So, i've got WinKawaks up and running on GameEx, running some Neo Geo games. But of course, the games have odd/shortened names (ex. 2020bb instead of 2020 Super Baseball). Of course, because of this the names show up in their shortened versions in GameEx. What i'm wondering is if there's a way to have the name show up in the GameEx list as their actual title. I can't just simply change the file name, because when I do this, WinKawaks doesn't recognize the game.
  4. Hm, I guess I don't have Microsoft Access, if that is indeed the program you need.
  5. Just a quick question.. Is there any way that I can look at the list of games on the databases, so that I can change the names of my games to exactly match the names in the DB? I've goodtooled all the games, but some games still don't match. So yeah, that's what I'm wanting to do.
  6. I appreciate ya Brian.
  7. Oh, don't worry about it man. I knew you were kidding, and so was I. Sometimes sarcasm and humor doesn't transfer well over the internet. Not our mistakes--I guess it's Al Gore's (Since you know, he invented the internet and everything. Should have added some kind of application for humor.) And anyways, your info wasn't crap, I learned some things.
  8. Well, just to make sure, to know that the database is working--should all the ROMs have info? Or I guess the right question is: What's a quick way to know the database is working like it should?
  9. Well, I used a program and added the .smc extension to all the games, and then added the rom filter as *.smc, which seemed to have fixed my Game list problems in SNES, so thanks a ton for that. Now as far as having my rom names match up with the database, and GOODTOOLS...well, I have no idea what that is. I don't know if you've noticed it yet, but i'm a noob. Only one way to learn though, right?

  11. Well, the only reason I thought a re-install might help, is because I wasn't having this problem at first. My roms aren't 7zipped, they're just in the ROM folder loose. I'd certainly export my emu config if there were an easy way to do it.
  12. Now what is that supposed to mean? If it's anything to you, i'd rather not have "crap" thrown at me. But usually I'll take whatever I can get. I think the sorting thing is a database problem, but my SNES list is the only one that is having this problem. My SNES list is having alot of problems. I'll try searching for that favorite. Or I might just reinstall GameEx.
  13. Any other ideas?
  14. Have you had any other problems with that particular emulator's game list?
  15. 1. my gameex.ini is not read-only, as far as I can tell. 2. I am using the database, and as far as I know, the games are named correctly. 3. Thanks for that, that fixed the problem.
