  1. Gonchal, Im all sorted with Zinc now and its fairly bad!!!! didnt have the problem with the render message so cant help specifically but I downloaded Zincgui (difficult to find but type zincgui into google and keep checking the results and eventually youll find a link) use this without gameex to configure all your renders etc then when its working you have to copy and rename the config and renderer and controller config files that Zincgui uses from the zincgui subfolders to the zinc root. If you go in "help - about" when in Zincgui this tells you which cfg files in zincgui relate the ones zinc.exe uses. then its just a case of adding the location of the config, renderer and controller cfgs to the gamex configuration options /advanced mame settings / zinc options. Im not at my home pc now so cant tell you specifically but hopefully this will pint you in the right direction and if you have any further queries ill try to answer when i get home.
  2. Cheers Headkaze, just changed to D3D and some games that just had sound now work, other games start to initialize and then return to Gameex but i'm getting somewhere. Does anyone know if I need any other plugins to assist.
  3. slight update, well more info. Some games flash to black then back (The blue menu bar has white text saying GAMEEX|PLAYING HYPER ATHLETE etc) Other games you can here the sound and can insert coins and start playing but the screen is blanj. I am using an NVIDIA card on an arcade monitor running res at 640 x 480 but i assume my problem must be a graphics one.
  4. I am having a similiar problem with zinc also. I have copied the OPEN GL render file to the zinc root with zinc.exe. I have updated my list and can see all the games but when i select them it just goes away to a black screen with a blue menu bar for less than a second then goes back to Gameex.
  5. thanks
  6. Hi all, Im really having trouble setting up with a working spectrum emulator. I use my PC as normal and switch VGA cable to my arcade machine when I run Gameex so Ideally I want to be able to use an emu that sticks with a 640 x 480 res. when gameex launches it. I know there is the bigger issue with configuring controls for each game through the arcade controls as well but i dont think that is as easy to sort! Would really appreciate some guidance with which emu to use and an example config would be great! thank you all.
  7. Tom you are a legend. I will be donating moolah when the bank balance permits. Gameex is very slick. But just to try to add to perfection I would suggest the following, apologies if already discussed or possible; I know people have already suggested a high score stat against each game and if possible I would very much welcome it, just 1 line stating score and player name or something. Favourites, again Ive seen this mentioned a bit, would like to see some categories on the left hand side similar to the by year etc ones in the mame list, just to filter by each emulator and mame would be enough. Most Played - I really like this section and would like to see the actual times played by each game along with the amount of time played and be able to sort by both. I know the emulator games can show amount of times played once selected which is good but it would be nice to see this for mame games and also in the list. I find the most played by number of times can be a bit misleading if ive been testing a rom or something and its much more of a measure on actually time played but dont know how easy this is. Thanks for your time in reading this.
