  1. Did you run the update games list utility when you entered "gameex"? There is a utilty you have to run when you start gameex for the first time that puts all your games files into the gameex directory structure. I am no expert on this at all, but I just went through that myself, and know that I had to run that utiltiy for it to get the games in the gameex directory listing. oopps I re-read your post, it looks as if you did..so now I am stumped sorry 'bout that.
  2. Maybe if someone could copy/paste (into a text file) their registry settings of the start menu, I could check them against mine? Im not sure if that would be helpful in fixing the problem, but I am just tossing out whatever comes to mind. Who knows...lol
  3. Thanks for the reply, yes I have what I believe to be the latest updates to MCE. RU2 installed, all the latest driver updates, etc. I'm kind of thinking this might be a weird quirk in my system, as there used to be an item in the start menu called "HP Tunes", and since I loaded "gameex" it took that off the start menu, as well as not adding "My Games" to the start menu. I looked at the registry and see that both "HP Tunes" and "My Games" appear to have entries for them in the registry start menu area, but for some reason they don't show up. I do everything logged in as administrator, so I am fairly certain it isn't a permissions issue. I don't know enough about the registry and the start menu items to know how things should look exactly, but both of the items appear to have information listed in the registry to appear in the MCE start menu. Not real sure where I should go from here. Any ideas? TIA
  4. Hi all, I am new to using this program, and I installed it with the option to put "My games" in the start menu under MCE2005, and it isn't showing up. When I searched the registry, it appears that an entry is made for "My Games" to be put in the MCE start menu, but it is definitely not showing up. I have tried fresh clean installs of the last 3 releases (gameex), and all 3 had the same results, so I am not sure what is going on. Any ideas? If more info is needed from my end, please say the word. I also tried searching the forum here, but can't seem to find anything related. Thanks in advance. -john
