  1. It also set me on the right path for VPX Beta, so thank you again. Now to sort the media out. If I have used the in built game manager and am comfortable with it, is the database manager easy enough to get my head around?
  2. Thanks Mike, I think what was throwing me is that the "Launch Before Executable" was looking for an executable file (.exe). I didn't try just slotting the BAT file in there. I will though. Very much appreciated.
  3. Hey all, I'm following TerryRed's excellent information on PinEvent, up until now I have not used FP within PinballX, just VPX and I load FP tables (Up until now I have only had SLAMT1LT tables) manually through BAM & FPLoader. TerryRed's advice is Disabling the FP Backglass (PinEvent tables only):  for PinEvent tables only, you want to disable the FP Backglass in a cabinet (using a front-end)  both the FP Backglass and Arcade mode in FP Video settings must be disabled together (or tables won’t run correctly with the FP Backglass disabled)  you also MUST have BAM’s FORCE ARCADE MODE enabled as well in BAM menu settings (this will only show up when you have FP’s Arcade Mode setting disabled)  this is because you still need BAM’s Forced Arcade Mode to give a cabinet view and to allow other BAM and PinEvent functions to work correctly I have created some bat files to edit the registry for FP. All I would like to know is how to apply these? I am setting up PinEvent tables as "other systems" as I want to be able to access Slam's tables through FP. Where can I put these bat files in 'Launch Before' & 'Launch After' to have them work correctly? Has anyone else done this successfully with PinballX?
  4. Thanks scutters, I just got a chance after work today to check on this and that appears to have fixed the issue. Awesome.

  6. Okay, so here's where the fun starts. They were all checked Hide DMD in game manager. If I uncheck it, it stays visible during loading. What it is appearing to do is hide during loading when checked and restarting with the table. I'll have to try to locate this Database Manager and try that way. Thanks for the help anyway scutters, at least I know I'm not totally incompetent....totally....
  7. Oh. My. Stars. Thank you scutters, I knew it would be easy. I'll remote in and fix it now. I'm sitting here, shaking my head.
  8. Firstly, I feel like a freaking idiot for having to ask but I cant find the answer. I downloaded and read the PinballX guide again and my DMD search brought back nothing, video brought back over 11000 results. I tried, I did. All I want to know is this, I have DMD Enabled, as per 4-16 of the guide, I've done this to enable static pics and videos. It works, but they dont disappear during gameplay and its doing my head in. Can someone remind me how to turn off all the video media when the tables start, funny thing is during the loading black screen, the DMD and backglass screens are totally black, then once the table loads the video plays as does the actual DMD on the table. I'm sorry, I'm old, kinda stupid with a very bad memory.
  9. Probably not Mike, been doing this so long, before PUP was a thing, that you forget the simple things when adding tables. I'll check it out, thank you.
  10. Sorry for the delay Tom, ailing health. Anyway, yes I am using B2S backglasses for the most part, I have updated now and doesnt seem to be as much of an issue. If I scroll fast it does get stuck on a previous backglass. My question then is, for the tables which I use a static image (PUP Tables like Munsters, Guardians and now Batman 66) the image stays up behind the table. Not a big issue, but is there a way to close these images down? Thanks. J
  11. HI Tom, I just upgraded to 5.12 tonight as Windows 10 updated and I had a flash.ocx error where my previous build wouldnt start. Anyway, 5.12 seems to work fine in the main menu, but when I go to my favourites list (only 47 VPX tables) the backglasses dont reload on changing tables, i.e they are stuck on previously scrolled tables. This doesnt happen on the main menu. This list was created using an older version obviously, but which one I cannot say. Anyway, otherwise, it seems to be working well. Cheers
  12. Nope, it is 32 bit. I have been advised to try adding this to the script. sub table_exit() Controller.stop End sub
  13. I have an issue that started on PBX 2.65 (Which was stable for me) I then updated to 3.06 and the issue is not resolved. The issue is that through PBX my nvram file for NBA Fastbreak (nbaf_31.nv) will not update. If I play through the VPX editor (10.5 3479 32 bit), it updates the nvram fine. 3.06 32 bit is slow as between tables, around 30 seconds per table load, or exit. 2.65 was fast. I have an i5 4490, Win 10 home, GTX 970 4gb OC, 16GB Ram, SSD HD. I played Bugs Bunny, another Midway table and it updated the nvram. Small sample but it worked. I have a cabinet, 3 screens, no DOF, SSF and no LED's. I do not use 3rd party software during gameplay (Teamviewer when not) and I haven't install PinUp Popper, PinballX.ini log.txt SetupWizard.xml
  14. Thanks rablack97, you seem to be on to something here. This may be a problem that has been going on for some time. I've done a reset and press ESC at the desktop and it doesn't bring up the start menu, only the Windows key does. I am wondering what is going on being the scenes as CTRL+ESC also brings up the start menu (for those keyboards without a Windows Key I assume). I wonder if its a sticky key issue as L CTRL is my default exit for VPX. I have now mapped that to Q. Seems to be working, cannot replicate. Thanks so much for the help.
  15. Here are some images of the problem. In a cabinet. Display set 270 degrees, so taskbar comes up on top left. I've just escaped out of TSPP.
  16. Yeah I do rabalck97, no problems outside of PBX, which is where I test my tables prior to going into PBX. Draco1962, here are my requested files, as I had asked above, if this was a known issue that was on the radar I wasn't going to waste anyone's time, but as it doesn't appear to be, thanks for the help in advance & I'll remember to just add them from the get go in future. 17. Hi all (& Tom), Having an issue with 2.65 and it only seems to happen after a while, never on the first table. I press escape to exit a table in 10.5 beta VPX (I have no other programs in PBX), that has been playing otherwise fine (In forced fullscreen mode) and for some reason instead of it returning to the PinballX table selection menu, it brings up the Windows Start Menu over the top of the table. It is acting like it would if no programs were open and I was on the Windows 10 desktop and pressed escape. Once this occurs, it then continues to occur when I press escape for however many number of times until it will bring close to the table and return to the menu. This behaviour will continue in the PinballX table selection menu, for no set number of times until the "Return - Exit - Shutdown" appears. To be clear, PinballX does not crash, it just is buggy in this manner. I hope this makes sense, I am not in my cabinet now, but if a screen shot is needed to make sense I am happy to provide and if it is essential to grab my log files etc, I can provide. I'm really just wondering if this is happening for others and is on the radar (I couldn't see any other similar threads though - other exit issue threads but not like this). Thanks.
  18. Thanks again guys, checked the dll's they were fine and I opened up the folder permissions in PinballX. Once I did that Dr Dude worked first time. Then I was able to load ACDC. Pretty happy with that. The log showed that instead of having access denied after vpauto line it went straight to VPX Full Screen exclusive mode detected. Thanks for the help guys. Many thanks.
  19. Thanks Carney & rablack97 I will do that. All the tables work before I started PinballX, but I didn't check the dll's for pinballX nor did I have everything set to run as administrator (just vpx.exe). All instances were closed prior, this is how I found out that I was opening games in PinballX but they weren't appearing until I played the table the second time (and subsequently tried to close it). I'm sure it will just be an oversight but I'll keep digging. Thanks for your tips and I'll try them tonight. Cheers, blackvulcan3.
  20. So I saw there was an access denied in the log. I changed the permissions on vpauto to allow for all users and also open as administrator. This did not help. Just trying something. Otherwise I'm not sure what I should be looking at.
  21. Thank you Kustom Kid for pointing me in the right direction. I'll follow the link and include the files and copy & paste. I have no topper. It is a 3 monitor cabinet, 1 playfield, 2 backglass and 3 DMD (LCD). I'm running Windows 10. I only have VPX 10.3 beta 3088 in my build, no other emu's. One question I do have is do I need to uncheck the "Hide DMD" and "Hide Backglass" in Game Manager? Thank you. 22. I'm stumped on this one. I'm loading tables to PinballX by the Game Manager. Everything seems to be going fine and I test launch each table from the Game Manager screen and all is good. Problem is when I start PinballX I attempt to open a table, but it punts me back to the front end. So I open it again and it opens and plays as normal, but the first time the table did load, so the table opens twice, but only takes me to the second table. I hope this makes sense, not sure why it won't let me play the first open table. Cheers, BV3.
  23. HI Tom, I did a 2.30 install (over the top of previous) and it is still giving me the error. Not sure why but the version number still comes up as 1.0.0.0 despite the update, is this normal?? EDIT - It does work now with the partner workaround as above but in game it says it is 2.28.
