  1. I have been changing multiple settings in the LAV filters hoping that these would solve the problem but none did so I set them all back to default. Thanks for the idea Draco1962, I switched those settings and it made no difference. Your suggestion prodded me into trying different settings in the PinballX Setup Wizard and the first one I tried was selecting "yes" to "Full Screen Windowed" and that fixed it! Now my set up is "Full Screen" and "Full Screen Windowed." Thanks guys for helping me fix this!
  2. Thanks Carny Priest for the reply, I do have the most current LAV filters installed as well as the newest video card drivers. I was hoping that someone else had encountered this and changed some setting to fix this minor problem. Everything else runs well and is stable so no complaints here...
  3. When scroll from table to table in PinballX I get black bars that run from top to bottom of the screen. They appear just before the table video changes from the current table to the next. They flicker very briefly and do not occur in the same places each time but do occur each time I scroll left of right. PinballX works great otherwise and the bars do not occur on either the DMD or backglass, only the playfield. They also occur with table images in place of videos. Here is a video of the black lines: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-oUYiRK0w50 Here is my ini file Here is a copy of the PinballX log
  4. Hi Carney Priest thanks for looking into this! My problem is a weird one and I wonder if this is a bug in PinballX or if the program on my system is the problem. I noticed when PinballX froze and I opened Task Manager that only one instance of "PinballX Back Glass" was running but two instances were running when PinballX was running correctly. I assume one instance of PinballX Back Glass was for the BG and one for the DMD and the lack of a second instance is what caused me to think that the lack of a DMD file for Bond50 was the root cause of these problems. PinballX runs great, unless it is missing a DMD video or image file. That was what was making Bond50 fail because I didn't have any files in the PinballX/media/Future Pinball/DMD... folder for this table. I removed a DMD file from one of my vp tables and it froze the screens just like Bond50 did. I confirmed the problem by putting a blank Bond50 DMD video file into the Future Pinball/DMD Video folder and now Bond50 seamlessly displays its backglass when the next table is scrolled to, a full set of Playfield, BG and DMD load. What do you think, am I missing some file that acts as a error handler for PinballX if a DMD media file is missing? If I remember correctly PinballX puts up a generic screen for missing Backglass images but just leaves the 3rd monitor DMD blank (shows WIndows desktop) if there is no file.
  5. Sure it is in the first spoiler box of my first post.
  6. Thanks for the reply, I have the LAV filters installed and the VP BG, DMD and playfield videos all have played great for some time. The new addition is a single FP table, Bond 50. Once PinballX scrolls to the Bond 50 table, the BG gets stuck on the Bond 50.png artwork and no other VP tables will show up even though their playfield videos and wheel art do.
  7. I Just added my first future pinball table to PinballX and now when I start PinballX and scroll through my VP tables, my playfield, BG and DMD all display fine until I reach the FP table. It displays its playfield and BG but when I scroll to the next FP table, the FP BG stays in place. Here is the PinballX Log Here is the PinballX XML Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
  8. You find the coolest stuff! I wonder why the density of their addressable LEDs is so low? The strips look like they are maybe 15 LED/m from what I can see in the photos of the product. Most guys are using 60-144 LEDs per meter in their cabs so I would wonder if the dreamscreen could drive the LEDs in cabs since the addressing might not go high enough. None-the-less, cool product.
  9. Thanks Rusty for the suggestion. The autoexec.py (python script) is for starting up Spotify and I'm not sure that there is a script that could access to get Pandora to run (nothing that I can see to point to) so I made an AutoHotKey script to do the same thing. I added a Pandora icon onto the front page of Kodi and sent two "down" commands followed by a "return" to start Pandora and then used some more commands to navigate to a good station and autostart it. It works well so far. My next project is to get the cab lighting working with the music. MJR suggested Ledblinky so I'm going to start looking into that.
  10. Carny, you get a "gold star" for today because you fixed my problem! I made an AutoHotKey script using yours as a model and I was able to get PinballX to launch Kodi and give it the focus. I tried the AutoHotKey script with and without "sleep, 1000" commands after launching the dc2.exe and the lack of a delay is what seems to be preventing Kodi from getting the focus. I think I saw delay options for other systems (future pinball?, pinball arcade?) and I wonder if those delays were there for focus issues? At any rate is sent a -temporary command before my -configure command in dc2 so when Kodi exits it sets the backbox back to extended from clone. Very slick! Now I need to send some additional key strokes to Kodi to navigate to Pandora automatically. Thanks Carney and Rusty!
  11. Thanks Carny, Display Changer 2 is the software that I am using to clone the screens, great little program. I picked up on that program from a old post on this forum that you took part in back in 2014. I don't know enough about Windows to figure out why PinballX would launch a program and have it run in the background but I will try using Autohotkey in hopes that it will launch Kodi and run it in the foreground. Thanks!
  12. Thanks for the reply, I did change the tables folder to Kodi/tables and the folder is empty but no luck. I ran Windows Task Manger when PinballX was stuck in the "Loading" screen and Kodi was listed as running in the background. Once I exited the Kodi "table", Kodi shut down. The problem seems to be that Kodi doesn't want to run in the foreground when it is started by PinballX. It will run in the foreground if started manually by its .exe.
  13. I am trying to set up a jukebox player using Kodi and a Pandora add-on. I can launch Kodi via PinballX but the focus never changes to Kodi and it sits behind the black "Launching" screen in PinballX. Any ideas about what I am doing wrong? log.txt PinballX.ini
  14. That's a great idea, I'll try that! I'd still like to develop a method for shutting down Windows as well as the mains with just the flick of a switch so that no one needs to use a keyboard for powering the machine down. With kids using the machine, I'd just as soon keep the power up and down process as simple as a single switch throw. How do you control your machine? BTW the show I saw in Milwaukee was the Mandatory Fun Tour show. I thought the show was really well orchestrated with video segments during the many costume changes, everything flowed really well. I've been a fan of his since the 80's where we saw him year after year at Summer Fest. The only downside to the experience was the many blank stares I got from people when they asked who I went to see at Summer Fest see and I said "Weird Al"...
  15. I agree that this is not the most elegant way to shut down the machine but it has worked well for over a month. I will be tearing the machine apart for finishing so I will probably build a 555 timer circuit (or figure out how to program an adafruit) to toggle the PC power button for mains 0n/Off and change the BIOS to not boot on power resumption. BTW I saw Weird Al this summer for the first time since the 80's, he was as great a performer as I remember!
