  1. topache - What does the fatal error say when you try to launch the game a second time? Similar to you, I'm getting a rom error in the same way you are. PinballX launches any table fine the first time after PinballX startup. The second time I try to start a table, I get a rom error, and will continue to get rom errors for any table I try to launch. I also have a KL25Z board set up as nudge.
  2. Appreciate the detail but I think I have VPM and B2S set up correctly as everything runs fine outside of PinballX and everything ran fine using PinballX until v2.62. My backglass videos include the DMD as captured on Display 2 during the PBXRecorder process. Hence, I do not need a second video to play on top of the backglass video during attract mode. Thank you for pointing out that Backless Reposition was enabled. I did not see that before as it has not presented a problem. UPDATE: I installed v2.64, set DMD to OFF, and I'm still getting the same error. log.txt PinballX.ini
  3. Ok this is interesting. I've set it to a display number higher than my system actually has installed, in the past because I did not know there was an option to turn it off. I've had it set to Display 2 before, but I did not want a DMD Image/Video to display in PinballX as I was cycling thru tables. Why: PBXRecorder captures Display 2 with both the backglass and the dmd, so I did not see the need, or want to display the dmd on top of the backglass video. I DO want the DMD to display on Display 2 when the game is running, which makes it bit confusing to understand how PinballX is driving essentially two outcomes with one setting; 1) The dmd image/video displayed during PinballX game selection. 2) The dmd location during game play. If I change the DMD option to OFF in PinballX, will the DMD still be displayed on Display 2, when I start the game? If not, it should shouldn't it? as I am using "screeners.txt" to drive that piece of the equation. SUMARY: 1) I DO NOT want PinballX to display a DMD Image/Video during the game selection process of PinballX. 2) I DO want the DMD to be displayed on Display 2 during game play. If "OFF" is an option, I'll install v2.64 and see what happens.
  4. Installed v2.50 back over the top of v2.64. Updated the bass.dll file to the older one you provided to someone else to fix tinny sound. Everything is back to normal running fine. Here is my log file and config after the fix. log.txt PinballX.ini
  5. Tested just now. Exact same error issues as noted above. Here is my log file and config log.txt PinballX.ini
  6. Has anyone had any luck running VP/VPX after installing PinballX 2.62? I'm getting rom not found errors in VPX after the install. Here is a breakdown of what I am seeing... -------------------- Run PinballX v2.62 Open table - Everything runs fine - In my test run I'm running "The Getaway High Speed 2 (Williams 1992) v1.04" Close table Open same table - rom error - Machine "xxxx (xxxxx" terminated before initialized, check the rom path or rom file Open different VPX dmd tables - same error To fix the table(s) that have crashed using PinballX, I open the table with VPX manually. When I do, the dmd's are displayed on top of the table on the main screen (Display 1) instead of the second screen (Display 2) on my two screen setup. I move the dmd back to the second screen, resize and adjust then close. I have to do this for any dmd table that PinballX tried to open and failed. Repeat steps above - same errors -------------------- FYI - My system has been running fine for years. I decided to update from v2.28 so I could get both FX2 and FX3 running at the same time on my cab. NOTES: I do not know how to generate a log file but I will do some research so I can get that added here. I saw that someone else noted similar issue. They are running DMDDevice drivers for color dmd. I am not. UPDATE #1: Installing v2.28 over the top of v2.62 has got me operational again. Sounds in PinballX now sound tinny with no base. UPDATE #2: Installing v2.50 on top of v2.28 is working. Sounds in PinballX still sound tinny, like there is no subwoofer. Tables sound fine.

I'm having what appears to be the same issue with v2.62. PinballX will launch a VPX dmd table one time without issue. If I close the table and try to launch the same table or a different one, it will not load. To fix the tables that have not loaded in PinballX I need to open the table in VPX manually. When I do, the dmd's are on the main screen (Display 1) instead of the second screen (Display 2) on my two screen cabinet. My cabinet has been running fine for years on older versions of PinballX (v2.15 and v2.28). I updated PinballX so I could run FX2 and FX3 at the same time. NOTE: I am not running color of any kind on my dmd.
  8. Ok I've read thru the topic provided immediately above; it does not answer the question raised in this thread. Given the issues with PBFX3, how do we run both PBFX2 AND PBFX3 so we can run either one? Since PBFX3 is still buggy, my preference is to run PBFX2 for all tables except the most resent three that only run on PBFX3.
  9. I'm not sure what the exact term is, so I'll use "Table Names". In PinballX, when I call an FX2 table, my xml file calls something like STARWARS_MOF. Can someone tell me how I can figure out these tables names on my own when new tables are released? I would like to add the Marvel WOP and Bethesda tabes to my pinballfx2.xml file, but I do not know what the table names are.
  10. Disregard my request. Found the video buried under "Others" upload area. I went ahead and uploaded the file to the main directory so others might find it more easily. LOVE the FTP server. Thank you to all who contribute there!
  11. @gStAv - Your table audio is amazing. Your audio is so extensive, I've been working for hours updating everything else in PinballX for my FX2 tables. I'm now following your naming convention, which is exactly what I do for VP/VPX tables. Not sure what the FX2 PinballX shortcuts are for the Women of Power and Bethesda Series are yet so I have yet to test them. Everything through AlienVsPinball is working now on my cab. LOVE IT!!
  12. Can someone please upload table video for Aliens Isolation to the FTP server? The file there now is a FlyBy. FYI - The FTP server here at GameEX is the bomb. I stumbled onto gStAv's Table Audio stuff yesterday and have been going thru and updating all my Pinball FX2 stuff. Draco's wheels are so sweet. Crazy how long it takes to go thru and fix everything for 70 tables. My next challenge is figuring out how the Pinball FX2 tables are called in PinballX for the Women of Powers and Bethesda Series tables. If there is an updated pinballfx2.xml file with these "shortcuts" on the server, I'm having trouble finding it.
  13. OMG, coolest thing ever. Thank you gStAv for all your hard work here.
  14. I'm a total newbie here, so please forgive my choice of words to describe what I'm looking for.... My cab came configured with PinballX, with PinballFX tables coming up one at a time in the PinWheel. It's nice to see PinballFX games displayed with the pinwheel icon, playfield video and etc. My question is, how do I setup PinballX to play 2-player games at launch? I've seen cabs launch PinballFX games in main menu mode showing all the tables, then you navigate to the table, select it, then select single player or two player. With my current config, the game launch's right away in single player mode, I drain all the balls, then go to 2-player mode via navigation within the PinballFX screen that comes up after the game ends. Is there a way to launch PinballFX games from pinwheel, and select single or 2-player mode before the game starts? Or am I stuck with starting from the PinballFX main menu? Suppose I could have both routes in the PinballX menu.
