hello again, at least i could fix the 'access denied error' for v5.33. BAM 'fploader.exe' was not set to run as admin. screenshot also works a bit unstable. not every keystroke gives a screenshot! the number of succesfull screenshots are also less then when using v274. would be nice to get a hint like a small screen-flickering or a short tone when a screenshot was made by pinballx. but the 'screen-rotation' doesn't work. pinballx goes black and comes back with the same screen. looking at the settings-file afterwards shows for the 'main display rotation' set to 90-degrees. it seems to me, that any keystroke i made results in adding a new line 'Main display running full screen windowed' in the log-file. If I type 'r' twice it should give the value of '270-degrees' for the 'main display rotation', if I understand this feature well?! but i always get '90-degrees' when running 'settings.exe' afterwards. is there any chance to get an older update of pinballx which mainly was made for win8.1 but not for win10+? log533.txt

@TomSpeirs and @Mike_da_spike - thank you both for your answers! @Tom... as you know! as long as it runs never touch a running system. that's one reason i didn't made an update over a long time. i recognized that the newer setup533.exe at the end installs 'visual c++ 2008'. the older setup257.exe installs 'visual c++ 2010'. in a next step i will remove the admin-rights and try again. @Mike... the '\' and the different keycodes are the result of the many test configurations i made. i tried both setups v2.74 and v5.33 with the same keycodes (currently '45=insert' and '46=delete') and with/without the '\' but there is no difference in the result. v5.33 always breaks with this (access denied error) and neither rotation nor screenshot works at the moment i have two folders here on my disk, 'C:\pinballX247\' and another 'C:\PinballX533\'. for testing i make copy of one of them, rename to 'C:\PinballX\' and check out how it works. two days ago if i remember right, i reinstalled V2.74 vom scratch and changed with 'settings.exe' only the path for 'future pinball + BAM' nothing else. with this version i have no problems. it runs flawlessly. there is a flash.ocx and flash.dll in this folder but i don't get any error for this when running v274.

1. have here a problem starting future pinball with pinballx v5.33. (access denied error). selecting a table will run 'future pinball' (bam\fploader.exe), but a bit time after, while the game field is initializing by 'future pinball', the pinballx selection-screen comes back to the foreground. another short time later, the 'future pinball' appears to play the selected table. 2. enter 'r' for screen rotation, do not work here. selection-screen goes black and comes back, but nothing else happens. 3. the screenshot-function also do not work in v5.33. can someone help with the problems? for the moment i'm gone back to my previous setup pinballx V2.74. fortunately, it no longer has the stupid function 'Version has expired' as in v.2.29. i'm always ask me what kind of shit is that! my old V2.74 setup with some parts reinstalled works so far again! the screenshot-function in this version has always been a bit unstable. pressing the selected key is little like a lucky shot and not always saves a screenshot. setting the 'back glass display' like the 'main display' = 'display 1' allows me to check the 'back glass screenshot-function' but in the same unstable manner like for the main-display shot. but that's ok so far! i only need screenshots when installing new tables and that is a really rare occurrence! p.s.: anything is started and running as admin. log274.txt log533.txt PinballX533.ini PinballX274.ini

i fixed it! the 'display settings' for the back glass display were the same as for the main-display = 'Display 1' - that's the problem! changed 'back glass display' to 'Display 2' to solve the problem!

with the new version 5.33 i always get these PinballX-animation on top of the selection-screen. how can i fix/remove this?
