  1. Thanks for the help. Looking into fonts, it looks like Windows update may have uninstalled all my fonts. I reinstalled the fonts and everything is working again.
  2. Thanks tthurman, I will also check that windows update. I'm away from my machine until this weekend but you all have given me some good things to dig into. When I reinstalled, I installed over the existing installation. Is it better to completely remove it first?
  3. I only tried to update GameEx after it stopped working. I've had it installed for several months and it was working fine on Friday night. The only change on my system was a lengthy Windows 10 update on Saturday.
  4. I have tried several other themes with the same error. I don't remember if one of them was default-default. I'll give that a try this weekend. I also didn't see which font was causing the error so now that you pointed that out I'll check to make sure it's still installed.
  5. I am seeing this same error. It was working fine prior to today. My Windows 10 just went through an upgrade. I tried a reinstall of GameEx, still no luck. log.txt GameEx.ini
  6. I get all the frustration. I still like PBA and plan to continue to play it on my cab. With all the difficulties testing PinballX built-in integration, I decided to play around will autohotkey to see if I could get that to work. After hours playing changing up key combinations and timings, I threw in the towel. The interface is designed for touch, not keyboard manipulation. Given some more time to noodle on it, it dawned on me to try mouse input to simulate touch. After a couple hours of scripting, I have a solution that's working reliably. My setup is included below for anyone interested in giving it a try. Pinball Arcade it setup under Other Systems. I call my table selection script from startpba.bat which rotates the screen, runs my autohotkey script, and then starts the PBA Free Cam Mod. [TABLEFILE] is used to pass the table name to the script. [System_4] Name=Pinball Arcade SystemType=0 WorkingPath=C:\Pinball\Steam TablePath= Executable=steam.exe Parameters=-applaunch 238260 LaunchBeforeWorkingPath=C:\Pinball\PBACamMod LaunchBeforeExecutable=startpba.bat LaunchBeforeParameters="[TABLEFILE]" LaunchAfterWorkingPath=C:\Pinball\PBACamMod LaunchAfterExecutable=endpba.bat LaunchAfterParameters= Enabled=True WaitForProcess=PinballArcade11.exe LaunchBeforeEnabled=True LaunchBeforeWaitForExit=False LaunchBeforeHideWindow=True LaunchAfterEnabled=True LaunchAfterWaitForExit=True LaunchAfterHideWindow=True You will need AutoHotKey installed for the pba.ahk to run. Make sure to set the AutoHotKey.exe to run as administrator. endpba.bat pba.ahk Pinball Arcade.xml PinballX.ini startpba.bat
  7. Are you using the TPA Free Cam Mod? I've seen this issue using the Mod but not without. It's due to the Mod resizing the screen.
  8. Ok, I finally have game selection working. Here's what I found: When PinballX is launched from a portrait screen, [Display] rotate=0 in PinballX.ini, game selection can't find the "Press here to Start" When PinballX is launched from a landscaped screen, [Display] rotate=270 in PinballX.ini, game selection works fine
  9. Instead of using the A-Z tab for table selection, why not use the Table Packs tab? In the "Table Packs" tab, the table are all ordered based on release date. There will be no need to modify the selection grid for old tables every time a new table is released. A pre-built xml for table selection could be used based on grid size.
  10. Game selection isn't working for me either. When the PBA start screen pops-up, I can hear it trying to select, but it's like it can't find "Press to Start" to move to the next screen. This is a cabinet setup. My grid is 4 colums by 18 rows. PinballX.ini log.txt Pinball Arcade.xml
  11. With the new interface, grid configuration by the user shouldn't be needed anymore. If you go to the table packs tab for table selection, all games should be in the same location on all setups, even as they add new games.
  12. Issue resolved. I completely uninstalled Comodo and the keyboard now works! Turning it off did not work, I had to uninstall.
  13. I went out and bought a cheap game controller. The good news is it works. Still completely baffled why the keyboard won't work.
  14. I went back to check the install that I thought was working. Completely different hardware and setup, and the keyboard isn't working there either. I must have been clicking with the mouse when I thought it was working. Could I be messing something really basic up?
  15. I haven't. I don't currently have anything like that available to try. I have tried two keyboards with no luck there. Should PinballX work with a keyboard alone?
  16. Yes, I tried changing USB ports. I did some more playing. I found that if I randomly click around with the mouse, since I can't see it, I can get the menu to pop-up or I can get the wheel to advance. But still no response from the keyboard.
  17. I have .Net Framework 4.5.2 installed. I'm checking Dell's website and I'm not seeing any Drivers that pertain to my hardware. It's an Insiron 560S. I've attached my device manager in case that could shed any light.
  18. I'm not able to scroll within PinballX or exit. None of the keys assigned in setup function within PinballX. The sounds and video play. I haven't even bothered with trying to configure games yet until I can get the interface to work.
  19. I installed. To be safe, I just uninstalled, downloaded a fresh copy of the setup, and reinstalled after reboot. No change. Still not working. Just FYI. I only tested compatibility mode. It's running without now.
  20. I've tried everything I can think of. I've disabled everything that's non-critical in the device manager and uninstalled a number of apps to see if it would make a difference. I've run as administrator as well as in compatibility mode for Windows XP Service Pack 2. For the most part, it's a bare bones Dell PC. I've installed an Geoforce GTX 750 Ti as the only add-on. The other machine I installed it on was an HP laptop. Again, nothing special. Worked out of the box. To test if it was something maybe I installed or a hardware conflict, I also tried installing on another Dell with similar hardware, minus the video card. It also did not work on that machine. Same issue. I'm currently out of ideas. Hopefully this additional information will help someone give me an idea of what to try next.
  21. I'm experiencing this same issue. It's a brand new install. I ran the install on another machine without issue, everything works out of the box. On the machine in question, everything appears to work except input. PinballX doesn't recognize any input from the keyboard or mouse. I can alt-tab and alt-F4, but PinballX doesn't recognize anything else. I have read this entire thread and tried everything that pertains to version 2.12. Thanks!
