  1. I got it.. There was a menu in stella that dealt with the key mapping of Emulator events.. I made the original "Control+q" into esc which made it both shut down the game and emulator at the same time. poof back to game EX without a problem. Someone mention this fix on this board way back in 2005 under a config sharing thread lol..
  2. The physical Keyboard command to close Stella is "Control + q" if that helps. I need to tell Game Ex to do this.
  3. I'll look into it. Never heard of MESS before. For now though since I have stella running perfect, I would appreciate any help regarding what advanced command information required to close the emulator down after exiting a game. It is probably very simple, I just don't know the language..
  4. question 1 I figured out... Apparently you have to reset the Atari to play some games after they are loaded. and that is done by hitting the F2 key. I was kicking myself on that one.. After I hit F2 everything worked as intended. As far as closing the emulator down after quitting a game.. I don't know what to type in the Advanced control settings to make that happen.
  5. Hey guys it's been a long time since I posted here. It took me months to setup my Game Ex and I love it. it looks great on my 52 inch LCD.. After all my hard work I took a break from it for a while though. Anyways I want to thank everyone here for the help i've received in the past, but now I'm messing with the program again adding some new systems and I'll be back asking for help again.. Anwaysshere's my latest question.. I have recently added Stella to my Game Ex system and it runs fine but i have 2 minor issues. First the emulator wont recognize my little 8 way control pad, and only recognizes my analog controller both on the same unit so is there any kind of fix for this.. 2nd when I close out of a game through Game EX I would like the actual emulator to shut down automatically. As things are now I have to manually click the "quit" button for me to go back into Game EX.
  6. would that be a video setting i should deal with in the emulator or in the game ex config
  7. i don't have it in front of me atm. when i get home.. ill take a closer look and post the results
  8. I have Vpinmame working perfectly for my 19 inch lcd monitor with windows xp. I have over 500 tables that open perfectly in full screen mode. I recently got a new vista 64 bit computer and a 52 inch high def TV that i'm using as a monitor 1080p. I have done a quick check of all the emulators I have after a data transfer and they all open except for for vpinmame. Maybe someone else hs had this problem and there is a quick fix? thanks in advance Vince

    Mame list issue

I have been messing with my settings and still can;t get rid of the bracketed text. I have ene gone into the gameex.ini file and still no luck.. # Dont Display game Version (Bracketed) info in the game list. # For example if set to true '720 Degrees (rev 1)' Will appear in the # list as '720 Degrees'. This is useful if running at a low resolution, # as text won't get truncated. Use in conjuction with NoClones=True, to # create a very clean looking list. NoGameInfo=True This is really bothering me.. Also i can't find a way in the actual rom file to change the name and maybe work around the problem
