  1. I only have a basic installation with Virtual Pinball X (and vpinmame).
  2. Yeah I know, once it's set it's gonna stay that way. Still wish my problems would be answered with "we're gonna fix that in the next version" instead of "use a workaround" 🙂
  3. This one can be marked as resolved (well, with a workaround). I've placed my DMD on screen 1 with an offset of X=3870. That puts the DMD on screen 3.
  4. I will try to swap the order, but guys... I still think it's weird that this can't be handled correctly by PinballX. I have no issues at all with Visual Pinball X: backglass and playfield are shown on the correct monitors without swapping anything.
  5. Well, my playfield is on screen 2. That means exit PinballX I guess.
  6. Works fine with SetDMD, that's what I've been using before. But why use an external program when PinballX is supposed to do the same?
  7. It's not because it works for someone else, that there might not a bug. It's not working in my case. And the DMD worked fine before. I'll update the status for my other pending issues.
  8. I recently added a topper screen. After doing that, the DMD screen in PinballX started showing up on the wrong monitor (invisible, under the playfield). I can move the DMD to the backglass monitor, but NOT to the DMD monitor or the topper monitor. Seems like there's a bug somewhere, preventing the DMD to be shown on display numbers > 3. Log files attached but you won't find anything special in them I'm afraid. log.txt PinballX.ini
  9. The workaround is to use a black loading screen so the switch isn't visible. But a workaround isn't a bugfix:-) I just wished there was a better way to report bugs, like a GitHub database or at least an email address to report these kind of issues.
  10. Attaching my ini and log files. PinballX.ini log.txt
  11. Both files are attached in one of my previous threads, but I've added them again here. PinballX.ini log.txt
  12. Best practice or not, it's a visual glitch that could be corrected.
  13. I could turn off the alignment and the issue is gone. However, I thought this forum was used to forward bugs you've found. Well, this is a bug.
  14. Indeed. The log files clearly showed what was going wrong.
  15. Well, this one can be marked as solved, although it IS a bug in PinballX (I have no idea how to contact the author to tell him this). The solution is to create a pinDMD.ini in the PinballX folder with an unused COM port: [communication] comport=COM5 Without ini file, COM3 is used, which has my Teensy and NOT a pinDMD. And there seems to be no way to tell PinballX NOT to use a pinDMD interface - it's ALWAYS opened and COM3 is ALWAYS blocked, even if you don't have a pinDMD. So this is a workaround. The best solution would be to add a Yes/No setting to tell PinballX if you have a pinDMD.
  16. (and no, there's nothing wrong with my setup, when I re-align the DMD in VPINMAME things work just fine... it's definately PinballX messing up with the settings)
  17. My DMD screen is 1280x400. This is how it shows up. It's like 40 pixels high instead of 400.
  18. As you can see in the attached files, COM3 seems to be blocked when the table is launched by PinballX. DirectOutput Batch.log DirectOutput PinballX.log
  19. Using VPINMAME dmd. The DMD *is* visible on the correct screen with the correct width. Only the height is incorrect.
  20. I'm using a static image BTW. And yes, the image DOES show up on the correct monitor, the issue is that it FIRST pops up for a second on the wrong one. I guess PinballX initially uses screen 1 to show the loading image, and only switches to screen 2 after reading the config file.
  21. I'm using the Auto position DMD option. The VPINMAME DMD is put on the correct monitor, with the correct width. That part works fine. The height, however is NOT correct, the entire DMD is squashed. The DMD in PinballX itself is shown just fine, it's the VPINMAME DMD that's not correct.
  22. I'm using screen 1 for my backglass, and screen 2 as my playfield. I have a loading screen defined for PinballX. When I launch PinballX, the loading screen initially pops up on my backglass. After one second, the loading screen jumps to monitor 2 (where it's supposed to be). Not a major bug, just visually annoying.
  23. When table is launched from PinballX: Plugin settings is activated, directoutput plugin is active. Yet no functional leds. When launched from the batch file, the plugin settings are identical and the LEDs work. How on earth is this possible?
  24. All three files are attached to this post. Thanks for looking into this issue! log.txt PinballX.ini test.bat
