    Just wanted to post my recent experience in setting up a cabinent using gamex. It was absolutely necessary to use the 66.93 drivers for my video card (an oldish Geforce3 Ti500). All sorts of font and drawing problems which went away once I downgraded to the 66.93 drivers. Now everything is working great.
