  1. will grab the psx and dreamcast since i have the other emumovies releases.
  2. i use mameplus... anyone have a diff for that or an i686 build with it patched in?
  3. where's the new download?
  4. if you have any custom keyboard keys then it will change it using those.
  5. so we'll have access to all of the latest emumovies releases?
  6. my system has xvid 1.2 installed with no ffdshow. videos play fine when browsing games for mame. they still do not play in the screensaver. the screensaver just locks up gameex and i have to force quit. then it freezes
  7. it does, but many are done incorrectly. awaiting tom's response in another thread to see if he's aware of the situation or not (since i'm newer to gameex). also, could just be 7z since i haven't tested other ways quite yet.
  8. ^ either that would work or fuzzy logic built into gameex for artwork... or the ability to add databases for the ARTWORK so the widely available artwork sets don't have to be renamed.
  9. an example why 7z support with goodtools naming of artwork (or slightly skewed from goodtools naming) isn't up to par right now w/ gameex: Adventures of Lolo.7z - contains about 20 variations for Lolo 1 i.e. Adventures of Lolo (U) [!] I have an EmuMovies default filename of Adventures of Lolo (U) [!].avi The video that plays on the main game list of GameEx is Adventures of Bayou Billy, The (U).avi instead! It also does it for all of the other artwork (choose Bayou Billy): i.e. TITLES: Adventures of Bayou Billy, The (E).png - instead of Adventures of Lolo (U) [!].png i.e. BOX: Adventures of Bayou Billy, The (U).jpg - instead of Adventures of Lolo (U) [!].jpg i.e. CART: Adventures of Bayou Billy, The (U).jpg - instead of Adventures of Lolo (U) [!].jpg i.e. MANUAL: Adventures of Bayou Billy, The (U).pdf - instead of Adventures of Lolo (U).pdf -------- if i take out the (U) [!] from the artwork filenames, they show up... so i guess the fuzzy logic is the problem with matching artwork up if it's not the exact name as what is on the main games list. HOWEVER: when i select Adventures of Lolo and scroll down to the actual roms within the 7z, it will play the correct Adventures of Lolo (U) [!].avi
  10. i too would like a tool like this that does fuzzy name matching and allows you to choose the master set of files for naming and match up other sets of files to them and do a mass rename.
  11. if the 7z set is ... Super Mario World.7z how does the artwork naming work? Will it depend on the roms within 7z?
  12. recursive searching for artwork/videos in the specified path (instead of all needing to be in one dir and no subdirs).
  13. usually it takes both, in order.
  14. a couple things i've noticed with ffdshow versus xvid codec installed on my system (1gb ram 3.4ghz p4 un-bloated): i have problems with ffdshow playing the mame videos that are available at most places. xvid codec plays them all fine. ffdshow will chop up the sound/video and cause them to go out of sync and/or pause for 5+ seconds randomly throughout the video. so currently i've just disabled the screensaver until xvid will work with it or i can find updated mame videos that work better with ffdshow within gameex. when playing the same videos with ffdshow outside of gameex, they seem to work ok, but i haven't seen many others post similar problems, so it could somehow be this system (using windows media player 6.4 or any other players that use system codecs instead of built-in ones). in each case, the ONLY video codecs were either xvid (1.2) or ffdshow (version from your site) and no other video codecs (besides default winxp ones) were installed. NOTE: does not seem to happen with non-mame game videos within gameex. many of the videos are even all from the same source. if i get spare time i'll try and figure out what the heck is the problem, but until then XviD with no screensaver is a quick and easy fix on my end.
  15. the exact version from your site works with xvid and allows videos to be played in both the game list and screensaver! i must have gotten a different/newer stable build elsewhere that doesn't work with gameex. (20061201)
