  1. I love that you implemented video previewing in the htpc settings. I didn't know what I was missing until I saw it. Unfortunately, I've had to disable it for now, as with divx/xvid files it tends to kook things out. Lag in the preview happens often and affects browsing. When playing videos, often times it seems that the audio from the preview is going in the background - like 2 audio tracks out of sync. As an aside, I'd like to touch on file locking a little as well. I watch a lot of tv shows on my gameex, and to keep the tv folder clean I often delete shows soon after they're watched. Unfortunately, it seems that Gameex doesn't release the lock on the file until it's exited/restarted, which makes it kind of a pain to maintain. Thanks! Astro
  2. With all of the emulators and other applications configured as emulators showing up under 'emulated games', the list gets a bit long. I wanted to partition them a bit better, say 'Sega emulators', 'Nintendo emulators', 'pinball games', etc. When I configure an emulator group, it does away with the specific emulator's menu and lists all games from all emulators in a single list. Is it possible to adjust this so that each emulator list individually under it's group? How they normally list: Emulated Games -> NES -> NES Games -> SNES -> SNES Games How the groups list them: Nintendo Group -> NES & SNES Games How I'd like them to group: Nintendo Group -> NES -> NES Games -> SNES -> SNES Games Also, would it be possible to have groups list as a sub-menu under Emulated Games instead of the main page? Thanks! Astro
  3. I'm not sure we're on the same page.. All neo-geo games are working, and show up fine under all mame. They do not (and did before) show up when you choose 'neo geo games' from the mame sub-menus. Obviously not a big deal, but strange all the same.
  4. I saw the same issue, just wasn't sure what caused it. This is the likely answer.. What's the solution?
  5. I'd remove them too. Blue's Clues et al aren't worth making a nocd for. Also, like I said, most of these games don't even really install - they run from the cd, which is where all the data is kept. I'm going to first try the shortcut/show desktop suggestion. If that doesn't work, I will need to make an entry for each game, set a mount command to run before, and drill down to their actual executables (where available) to bypass the launchers. That would suck, because there's 30 or so Thanks for all the responses!
  6. Save some trouble, get the text files here: http://www.push-a-button.com.au/morewithmy...c/tracklist.php There's also a large torrent floating around with ~300 songs in it.
  7. Ultrastar is defininitely better than directx karaoke. I use them both, but I'd really like to see dx karaoke support zipped files. The built-in juke could use a little spit and polish too, as the file list formatting that works for many a game list doesn't work so well for an expansive music collection. It's all satisfactory enough to use in the meantime though, especially since the important points are met and everything integrates well. edit: Wow, how did I dig up such an old thread.. oops
  8. Hiya, Just a note, I'd been hunting off and on for the torrent links on emumovies for a long time and never found them until seeing you mention 'scroll down' in this thread. It was confusing because there are page links to the 'collections', but no torrent links on any of those pages. The torrent links I did find elsewhere didn't appear to match the collections pages, so I figured I was missing something, or the site had in fact stopped hosting torrents. Thanks for your straightforward post here. I think a little clarity on your site will to a lot to dissuade all the pay rumors (I've seen a few). BIG GIANT RED ARROWS pointing to the torrent links probably wouldn't hurt Thanks! Astro

    PC Game ISO's

Gameex is turning out to be one of the best pieces of software I've seen in a few years. Seriously, thanks for it! Now, here's the challenge: I have a kid's pc set up with 25 or so kids games. Most of the kids games are stored as iso's because they either don't actually install or they just install shortcuts. Currently, I have shortcuts for every game, but all the shortcuts do is mount the game image; auto-run takes care of the rest. I think Gameex will be a perfect front-end to this pc to organize the kids' games and movies, etc and to limit the amount of damage they can cause to the OS. My first thought was to make an emulator entry with all of the shortcuts, but most of the games' autorun starts a launcher, which may not work out very well. What do you think would be the best way? A separate entry for each game, with d-tools mounting in the run-before entries? Something else? Thanks! Astro
