  1. I'm not sure if I'm putting this in the right place and I will post the ini file as soon as I get home today, but I wanted to get this started in case anyone has had a similar issue or knows of a quick fix. I am running the latest version of PinballX on a Win10 machine and when I am playing a pinball table, I cannot ext the VP software to get back to the PinballX frontend. I have tried resetting the Quit and Exit key mappings in PinballX to multiple values, but it's as if PinballX is not listening for any keystrokes once the VP software is running. Currently, when I click on the exit button, it brings up the the VP menu with the options Resume Game, Debug and Exit. I have tried setting the button on my cab to Escape, "E" and "C" with no luck. If I leave it on Escape and disable the Escape key in the VP editor, absolutely nothing happens. I have created a quick work around by mapping two seldom used buttons on my cab to "ALT" and "F4" so that I can forcefully close the VP host and return back to PinballX. Once back to PinballX, the Escape key does work and will pull up the Return, Exit, and Shutdown options. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks!
  2. I solved this issue (at least in my case) and wanted to go ahead and post it in case anyone else runs into this issue. The issue was that the upper/lower case of the ROM names in Pinmame and pinemhi.ini do not match. When the pinemhi application runs, the match is apparently case sensitive. The table in question that I had an issue with had exported the high scores before I had updated to the latest Pinmame, so I would guess that the change happened with Pinmame. However, one of two things has occurred: The latest version of the pinemhi.ini file included with PinballX has changed the upper/lower case of some of the ROM names The latest Pinmame that I am using ( VPinMAME_SAM_NON_PINDMD__PINDMD2__PIN2DMD_2.34 ) has changed the upper/lower case of the ROM names. Once I noticed in the "test" function within the Pinmame Setup application that the ROM name for World Cup Soccer was listed as "World Cup Soccer (LX-2)", I checked the pinemhi.ini file and WCS was listed as "World Cup Soccer (Lx-2)". Since the pinemhi.ini had the lower case "x", I changed this to match the upper case "X" from Pinmame and the high score file was immediately created after exiting the table from PinballX. This one had bugged me for quite some time since it used to work and then stopped. I also had other things I wanted to be able to do with that data. Hopefully this will help save someone some of the headache that I had!
  3. Ok, yep, we're on the same page then. Sorry for the confusion . I would love to be able to set that for something less than 1 minute. I didn't see anything in the Wiki about there being a reason that it couldn't be less than 1 minute.
  4. I'm always confused . The setting you are talking about is how long it stays on the table before rotating to the next selection, correct? What I'm looking for is how to I get the initial rotation to start quicker than the minute it takes currently. The lowest the "Timer" value will go is 1 minute. This is what initiates the first random spin, correct?
  5. First off, I love PinballX and your commitment to modifying the software with requests from all us users is admirable. Would it be possible to have a shorter option for the "Show Game For"? Right now, the shortest amount is 1 minute. Sometimes I want to play, but just don't have a table in mind. I'd rather not have to wait 1 minute after exiting out of a table, or firing it up for the first time, for the random spin to happen. Maybe this has already been addressed and I missed. In that case, I am sorry and would appreciate someone pointing me in the right direction.
  6. I am having an issue with the text files in the High Scores folder in the PinballX installation folder are not updating on every table. So, when I pull up the "Information" menu from PinballX on a table, it reflects old scores and not the current. I know it's working for some because I had set a high score on the Popeye table and it updated the text file correctly. However, I had set the Grand Champion high score in World Cup Soccer '94 and I can't for the life of me get the text file in the high score folder to update correctly to reflect that. I've spent the last couple days reading all of the forums to see if I can find anyone with similar issues, so I apologize if this has already been asked/answered. It seems it's mostly all or none for everyone else. I can post some logs if someone can tell me which ones to post . Any help that can even just point me in the right direction is greatly appreciated!!
