  1. Sorry, copies are now attached (separate files for my 1st and 2nd PC). One more information which might be useful: I also have a third, much more powerful computer with a THIRD X-arcade controller (Tankstick). There is no unresponsiveness problem under the same configuration of Gameex + Mame (i.e. I can leave the computer alone for a while, then the X-Arcade controller still works). The only difference is that...the OS on that 3rd PC is Windows 7 and not Windows XP. Thanks in advance for your help. GameEx(pc1).ini log(pc1).txt GameEx(pc2).ini log(pc2).txt
  2. Hi, Can someone please help me with this, I'm 99% sure it is Gameex-related: Configuration: I have two rather old PCs running WindowsXP Pro SP3, one with an X-Arcade Dual Joystick, the other with an X-Arcade Tankstick. I only use Gameex with Mame for the time being. Everything is configured correctly, I can control both Mame games and Gameex with the X-Arcade joysticks/buttons. I can play with any game for hours on both computers. Problem: if I leave the computers alone for 20-25 minutes, either with a Mame game running or just Gameex set to "screensaver mode", the X-Arcade joysticks/buttons don't react anymore. The keyboard inputs work fine, as everything else...except the X-Arcade joysticks/buttons. Gameex somehow "forgets" there is an X-Arcade controller connected. I can do nothing else but press Escape and restart the system to make it work again. I would tend to suspect a cable/USB problem or something inside the X-Arcade controller but, again, I have the same problem on two different PCs and two different X-Arcade controllers. Now, here is what I tried so far: 1) Starting WinXp and launching notepad only. If I press the X-Arcade buttons, the inputs work fine, the fonts are displayed on screen. Leaving the machine alone for 30 minutes. Pressing the X-Arcade buttons again: inputs still working. 2) Starting WinXp with MameUI32 only. Everything works perfectly well, even if I leave the game on for a while. When I get back I can still use the X-Arcade(s). So the issue only seems to appear with Gameex (which is the best frontend EVER nonetheless). Any suggestion/solution would be really much appreciated.
  3. Request for PinballX Xpadder plugin: add a PinballFX2 profile please. I tried to insert an autostart of Xpadder (upon "sensing" of PinballFX2 start) inside the Xpadder program but it doesn't work (no idea why). Yes, I know, there is the "launchbefore" possibility amongst the PinballX configs but that option is already "taken" by a borderlessdmd executable. Yes, I know, there is also a possibility to create a batch file to launch Xpadder AND the borderlessdmd executable together (I read the relevant topic), I am just a total dummy in creating batch files, really, I don't know anything about scripts. So I thought an addition to the PinballX Xpadder plugin could help... Thanks.
  4. Hello, Am I doing something wrong or there is clearly no profile that can be enabled for PinballFX2 ? I'm not talking about the profiles inside XPadder (1-4), but a selectable PinballFX2 profile under PinballX in the upper field. Many thanks in advance for your help.
  5. Hey there, I ran into a similar problem and been trying to fix it for several days now, without success. I hope someone can help me. I have a 3 monitors setup, my feeling is that FutureDMD causes a serious mess to FP running under PinballX (no issues with VP or PBFX2 tables under PinballX or FP standalone (without PinballX)). What basically happens is that after loading of an FP table, I get back to the frontend (table selection) but the table starts "in the background". By pressing ALT+TAB, I can sometimes get back to the table launched initially but if I press the start button, another FP application launches (I can see it on windows the task bar), and I still get back to the frontend interface/table selection. As a result, I have multiple FP instances running, I have no alternatives but to shut down PinballX (after which I also note that FutureDMD is not closed despite the "LaunchBeforeParameters=table="[TABLEFILE]" close=1" line in the script, so I also need to manually close down FutureDMD on the DMD screen). Thanks in advance. PinballX.ini log.txt
  6. Yes, I am. In the meantime, I re-installed PinballX again. I don't know what happened, the frontend starts now, it's OK. Thanks again for your help.
  7. Hi Draco1962, No, I don' have the Raptr Software Suite installed. I checked the AMD drivers, they are up-to-date. I don't undestand what caused this mess :-(
  8. Hello Everyone, I am relatively new to this great frontend, I just re-installed it as I encountered serious FP/FutureDMD difficulties and thought a fresh setup might help. No, it got worse. :-( There was no upgrade, I re-installed v.2.02. There is some surface/parameter error in the log file I don't understand. I set up everything the same way as before. I have 3 monitors (PF/BG/DMD in this order). I launch the frontend, it displays the PBX logo...and it shuts down automatically. Could someone please help me ? Many thanks ! PinballX.ini log.txt
  9. Many thanks, noiseprisoner ! I finally managed to make the V2 plunger kit buttons operate the PinballX frontend. I had to re-install the frontend and clean the registry. Can you please help me with this: I see that you have your Z-Axis, X-Axis, Y-Axis / gain set to certain values. Do these settings actually work under your Future Pinball tables ? Afa the plunger is concerned, I now understand that this is very table-dependent and basically needs a table-by-table configuration. But regarding nudging, I see no effect at all under any of the FP tables. None of them seems to sense my "jogging/shaking" the side of the cabinet. The V2 board is properly mounted inside the cabinet, it is "green lit" and the "circle" is positioned in the middle under Windows settings. Calibration is set to "default". if I nudge the table under Windows, I can see the crosshair moving but just a little bit (it needs a strong "push" though) but no effect at all under FP. Again, thanks very much.
  10. Hello guys, I'm a PinballX and a forum "newbie" and sorry for not posting my pinballx.ini and log.txt (yet) (see the reason why below). But I'm an active GameeX user (running on my Mame cabinet) and I just love that great piece of software, so first of all: many thanks to Tom and the rest of the team ! I'm having a virtual (3 monitors) pinball cabinet assembled/built from scratch by a guy in the Hungarian countryside who's extremely talented in arcade and pinball cabinets in general (hardware + software). Unfortunately, he has apparently reached his limits when I gently asked him to mount a Digital Plunger Kit v.2 (purchased separately from Virtuapin) in the cabinet. I've been reading each and every forum post for the past week (both here and at the vpforums). I'm stuck and almost want to give up. I'd be very thankful if someone could help or at least orient me towards a possible solution. I posted the same at vpforums. 1. First issue we have is the Digital Plunger Kit ("DPK") co-working with PinballX frontend ("PBX") running Future Pinball. For the sake of clarity: the DPK is working almost fine (see issues 2) and 3)) with FPalone. The problem is with PBX (yes, I checked the PBX forums as well: no luck). There is no way to make PBX "see" the DPK, the buttons properly configured under FP just don't work when running under the frontend. Neither the plunger, nor the buttons. No way to navigate in the frontend and startup a table. No way to "circumvent" the problem by using XPadder: the inputs are not detected by the frontend. The forum threads (and section 6.6 of the PBX documentation) mostly deal with how to use PBX or the DPK under PinballFX2 or Pinball Arcade or how to configure Visual Pinball with the DPK. That is not the issue here. Again, my problem is the "coexistence" of the DPK + PBX + FP. 2. Regarding tables with a launch button (no plunger, e.g. Terminator 2) under Future Pinball (not Visual Pinball, just FP), is there a way to make the DPK plunger "behave" like a launch button or does it require a specific "circumvention" ? It's too late for us to add a new physical switch inside my cabinet. Same for a separate launch button (the cabinet is already "sealed" and painted). Someone at the vpforum (http://www.vpforums.org/index.php?showtopic=27410&hl=%2Blaunch+%2Bbutton+%2Bplunger ) raised almost the same question and the responses where somehow contradictory (the question was "for the tables that have launch buttons rather than plungers, can you launch a ball with the virtua plunger (like ENTER)or do you have to have a separate launch button?" and one of the answers was "The virtuapin plunger acts just like holding on the launch button. So the answer is yes you can use both. It works for me."). 3. The "nudge" panel is properly mounted and "lit" inside the cabinet (configurable under Windows). However, there is no way to nudge or tilt under any FP table (whether with or without PBX). Any ideas? Again, thanks very much in advance for any help or suggestion.
