  1. Tthurman, yes problem seems to be resolved. I was waiting to check out all my games to ensure the issue was clear. It appears it is. Thanks for the support, you guys are great. Happy New Year!!
  2. Thanks Tom that seemed to work. I've loaded my games. So far do good.
  3. hi thanks for the response The computer that i was using when i had this issue crapped out on me! so i got a new computer and did a fresh load of gameex as well as mame i copied my roms from my old computer to the new one and they all work fine in mame i"m trying to update game list in gameex and it is stuck at "reading listinfo dat" can"t get it to budge can i get some help with this GameEx.ini log.txt
  4. Ok, so I have a few problems going on so I'll try to keep them clear and straight. First, I just installed lightguns to my cabinet (AimTrak). It took awhile to get it setup but I was able to get it working in MAME as well as Gameex. At the same time I was setting up the lightgun, my Gameex wanted to update to the new version (2.2). It updated fine and all my MAME games showed up with artwork and all. However, all my button configurations for my xarcade tankstick reset. I have to manual configure all my buttons for each and every game! Too much work. When I set it up before, all I had to do was go into the menu tab in one of my games and configure the "General Input" and it configured all games including any new games downloaded. Also, I'm using a laptop to run my cabinet and therefore have an external keyboard (via USB) that I use in lieu of the laptop keyboard. Now MAME won't recoginize it when I try to configure the games. I have to revert to the laptop keyboard. Not sure why this is happening but I have a hunch that something got jacked up when I was installing the light guns and/or when Gameex updated, Oh, by the way, I got a few error messages from Gameex as well and it shut down on me. I attached all the files I think you would need to get started. Thanks in advance for the help! GameEx.ini log.txt mame.ini
  5. B2K24, nullPointer,Thank you so much for your support with this. I know its been awhile since I replied to this post but I've been too busy playing my arcade games! All your suggestions helped and I am running on all four cylinders. I got a ROM verifying software and that seemed to do the trick. Nearly all my ROMs work and the few that don't are probably because they weren't good ROMs to begin with (1943, Street Fighter II and Galaga in case you're wondering). Thanks again!
  6. Yes I've done that so only the games that are "working" are showing in GameEx. I'm even having some problems now with running some of the ROMs in MAME. I think some of them are not a good set of ROMs like you said. I sometimes get a blank screen when the game is trying to load. I've heard of ways to audit ROMs. Do you have any suggestions on the best way to audit or verify ROMs?
  7. Yes I can get the games to work running MAMEUI. I was able to get another game to work! The games I"m trying to run are Teenage Mutant Ninga Turtles (4 player edition), Double Dragon, and Street Fighter II: Champion Edition. The 4th game I had is actually a bad ROM (Star Wars for Sega Genesis). I can't seem to get Street Fighter II to work (in GameEx) although the other two games work just fine now.
  8. Ok, I moved the entire folder to the C:/ and deleted the command line. That seemed to help, making some progress. I got 1 of my 4 ROMs to work! Not sure why the other 3 won't load. Any suggestions? Here are my files again. Thanks a lot for the help! log.txt mame.ini GameEx.ini
  9. yes, my MameUi64 folder is on my desktop. I'll give those things a try and get back to you.
  10. Sure. Here you go. Thanks. mame.ini
  11. Hello, I'm new to GameEx and the whole world of retro gaming. I tried posting this to another topic but got no answer so I thought I'd start a new one. I can get my ROMs to load in GameEx and see them in the list. However, when I select the game it won't open and I just get a black screen. I can get the games to work outside of GameEx when I just run it through the MAME emulator. Can someone take a look at my log files and tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thanks! GameEx.ini log.txt
