Hi guys, hope you all are having an awesome day! I had a quick question to ask; I tested my self-compiled version (no modifications other than the high score diff file) of Mame64 and it works like a charm, but when I boot specific games with GameEx (I've noticed it in Centipede and Donkey Kong so far) it seems to add a coin after about half a second. I tried changing my Coin1 value from 5 to 9 and disconnected my keyboards and it still happens. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks a lot!

I noticed that if I download the MAME screensaver independent from GameEx and set it to an installation of MAME with only one game, I can get that to work, but the screensaver never shows up when GameEx is running. I think there must be some command in the source to tell the computer not to sleep...

Oh cool! Never messed w/ dlls really, other than modifying Win7 to boot into GameEx seamlessly. It does sound interesting though!

I could definitely do that for right now; thanks for the suggestion! Though it would be nice to get a more 'concrete' solution per-se, one where I could leave the machine idle and have GameEx boot into the screensaver game...

Thanks for the responses guys, I appreciate the help! I tried setting up a specific emulator for it, but I can't disable MAME emulation, there's no option for it anywhere. Or am I simply not looking in the right places? As for my motives, I'm running a dedicated cab on the exterior but have a multigame setup for the software (i.e. the outside of the cab is specific to a single game, but it can really play many). I'd like the screensaver to only show that game, for consistency =) Any ideas? Thanks again!

Hello all! Hope you are guys are having an awesome day. I have a question on the GameEx screensaver: is there any way to limit it to one game, or a small list of games that would not be the Favorites list? I haven't seen the Setup Wizard for a while now, so I think there was an option to restrict it to only Favorites there, but not a single game or a list... Anyways, any help would be much appreciated! Hi! I love your theme here; I'm currently using it for my GameEx setup and I must say it's awesome! Thanks for all your hard work! I was wondering if there's a way to turn off the changing backgrounds in the mame section however? It always changes BG image to a panel, marquee, or flyer of the game being selected and when browsing through the list it can get extremely jarring... Anyways, thanks again, and keep up the great work! -

Hello all! I'm new to the forum here, yet have been working on my GameEx setup for some time now. I must say it is quite the awesome FE! I have the registered version and was having some troubles with Steam games. For pretty much any Steam game (like Geometry Wars:RE), what happens is this: I click the game on the GameEx Steam page The screen goes dark The Steam login page shows up (I have auto-logon set to on) The offline prompt comes up (I'm running my setup offline since I don't have a WLAN card for it) I hit the play offline button The game boots up for a split second The game quits and steam says "Waiting for <game name> to shut down" Then I'm back at the GameEx screen. I'm running Steam in big picture mode also (just to make it a bit more cab-friendly if I ever need to navigate the menus, so I'm not sure if that's a problem there. Any ideas or help would be much appreciated! Thanks for reading! Sebastian1314
