    hi there

No. I'm launching the daphne.exe command line. The game loads and plays fine, I just can't get back to GameEx without 'Cntrl-alt-del' and closing the GameEx application. PC Specs are Duron 1.8 GHz, 512 MB ram running WinME (I know, but that's what I have available). I just downloaded the latest GameEx last night and the problem persists. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. GameEx is by far my favorite front end and I'd love to get it running with Daphne. Sorry for the thread hijack.

    hi there

Thanks. I'm having a similar problem with Daphne. Everything runs fine until I escape out of the game. Gameex shows that it is still running but I can't get it to regain focus. I just get sent to the desktop.

    hi there

    And what was the solution?
  4. I am having a problem exiting Daphne. The game launches and runs perfectly, but when I hit escape to exit, Daphne locks and never closes. I am kicked to the desktop, but with no taskbar. ctrl-alt-del shows that daphne is still running the ROM. The GamEX log file shows that the audio and video are closing, but it never gets beyond that. Any suggestions? Thanks
  5. Tom, Would it be possible to incorporate the control information from controls.dat into the LCD Smartie plugin? The goal would be to send control information (what each button does in the game etc.) to the LCD just before the game launches in MAME and leave it there for the duration of gameplay. This gives the players constant access to game controls while they are playing. This would be the same general idea as what Silver did here with his LCDGen software: http://www.silverfoxy.plus.com/LCDGen.html Great job on the front end. I am incorporating it into my new cab. Joe
