  1. Cool, thanks for all the hard work finding them!
  2. I`ve got my cab networked wirelessly and would like to add some tv and radio stations, also news feeds. I have quicktime but don`t know any good feeds nor how to add them and was wondering could anyone point me towards some info on how to use quicktime or some other software to watch internet tv feeds while inside GameEx, or to some good feeds? Also could anyone clue me in to adding the news and weather as that would be great.
  3. Thanks for that, will be useful for me as well I`ve tried literally every front end I could get to work and only three were good for me (GameEx, Maximus Arcade and MaLa) but GameEx definitely is the best.
  4. I`ve got a converted Video Wizard cabinet which is two player, and that uses an arcade joystick to fully control GameEx. I have Joysticks hooked up via a keyboard encoder so the movements are translated as keyboard presses and GameEx responds fine to it. Not sure if that helps you but although I used a keyboard to install GameEx (a wireless one) I now have it running with no need for keyboard or mouse intervention and can control it with the player one joystick and two of the player one buttons.
  5. I have a feature request which is already in GameEx but this is a change I think would be useful. I wonder is it possible to add a parameter to the mouse emulation so that individual programs could be started with their own mouse speed. IE program one could be set to use mouse speed of 6 and maybe program two would use a mouse speed of say 10? I ask because I find this mouse emulation very useful but some software is best run using a faster or slower mouse than others are. Thanks.
  6. Well I donated, well worth the money! The only thing that bugs me is for some reason the themes I downloaded work, but not the ones included with GameEx apart from MCE (I mistakenly wrote Media Centre before) which is a bit annoying as the GameEx animated one looks like it could be really nice but it`s no big problem. One more question though - where do I access the mouse emulation? I have a game my missus likes (Monopoly) and it needs a mouse to play. The page at http://tomspeirs.com/gameex/tips.htm mentions registered users being able to use mouse emulation and that would be very handy! Thanks for the help, its definitely helped and also thanks to Tom for the great software. I`m getting my cab wireless this week and will be using it for internet news and tv and of course radio
  7. I`m having a few issues with GameEx but most are being resolved by trial and error and searching the forums. I do have a few questions and I hope someone here will answer them for me. I`ll try to make them succinct. 1. Apart from the default themes I downloaded the Soul Calibur theme. However I can only use the Soul Calibur or the MCE theme for some reason no matter what settings I set and if I try to use the theme manager from within GameEx the other themes appear but always resets to the MCE theme. Any ideas on why would be really appreciated! 2. I have Mame shown on the main screen and was wondering if there is any way to show all the emulators as well as Mame on the main screen? Ideally I would like to have seleced emulators on the main page and then when I click on them they show the game roms available. 3. Dumb question but I really like the Soul Calibur theme but I can`t really use it because I have no idea how to go back to the previous screen. I have an arcade cabinet with the joysticks and buttons mapped to keyboard keys. I cannot change the keys as they run through a hard coded keyboard encoder (set to MAME default keys). Is there a way I can tell GameEx to use say the 5 key to go back to the previous menu? GameEx is definitely a great front end, I had avoided using this as I cannot run it on my XP 64 system which I use to test cabinet software before I install it on the cabinet itself (which runs XP Pro) but kept seeing good reviews and the screenshots looked nice so tried it and it`s looking good so far
  8. I have already enabled desktop and I set it to full screen before I ran it as I read on the forum that Nestopia has some problems otherwise. I also have another problem, even though my roms are where I have told GameEx it says there are no roms for any emulators but I will keep tweaking settings and try my best. I currently use the paid for version of Maximus Arcade but am considering swapping to GameEx because there are a few issues between Maximus and my favourite software which don`t exist with GameEx. Plus GameEx has more features of course, but both are great so far though I`m leaning more to GameEx if I can resolve my emulator problems.
  9. I am trying GameEx and like it but have a problem with NEStopia emulator. The settings for emulator path and so on are correct, I can see the games but when I select to play one I get taken to a black screen displaying jut the time and date and then nothing works and I have to physically switch off my pc to do anything. Does anyone have any ideas why? I am running it in an arcade cab with XP pro SP2, 1 GB DDR RAM, AMD Athlon 64 2800+ CPU, NVIDIA AGP GF 6200 with joysticks and buttons connected via a keyboard encoder interface if this helps with any ideas. Thanks. Dave.
