Thanks! That worked after making the change and updating the list. Is there a possible way to export a list or see the titles for games that are being filtered?
Since updating to GameEx my daughter has noticed a game she really like to play is no longer there. It's the game Flicky. The rom is in place, and I've updated the list several times but it's still not showing up. Any thoughts on something else I can try?
I'm sure this is easy but I've spent about an hour trying to find it. Is there a way to tell GameEx to not remap the controls if they are already set up in the specific emulator? For example: I had them setup within FCEUltra (Nes) the way I wanted them and they work fine when launching the emulator but they don't work if I launch FCEUltra from within GameEx.
Got it fixed....They were all jpg format and they worked fine on some other views including this one. I changed them all to png format and they started working fine in the horizontal view. Thanks for the help!
Thanks for the help... that fixed the issue. It was throwing me off because it was in an emulator I didn't need. I managed to get the games working in the external applications area. But the emulator causing the problem was still active and pointing to the same location where I had UGL setup. Working fine now....Thanks!
I just started using this UGL config today and I got it working fine except for one thing... if I happen to leave the GameEx menu up idle for about 10 or 15 minutes it randomly tries to launch a Steam game on it's own. Is there a way to turn that off? It actually doesn't launch the game though. I just get a cmd window that looks like it's trying to launch showing a paused state and press any key to continue. Once I press a key it goes away and GameEx comes back up but it happens again if the GameEx menu stays idle.
Hello, I am in the process of upgrading to a new PC and just noticed the change view option on the theme. I really like the horizontal view but when I switch it I notice my pictures for the game logo's stop working. Do they maybe have to be a different size? Or in a different directory? Thanks!
Here are pictures of my Driving Arcade. It took me around a month to build. There are still some improvements I would like to make but I haven't really got around to them since it has been playable. GameEx works great. Right now I mainly use it for launching the driving games but I really like the other features also. Launching a movie almost feels like I am in a theater since I put my older JBL surround sound system in it. The hardware I used includes: PC. 21 inch Monitor. Steering Wheel/Pedals. JBL Home theater surround sound. Seat from a 2000 Dodge Intrepid. Box fan for behind the seat. (It does get pretty hot inside the arcade after a while.) Overhead light for when I need it. I am probably going to add a joystick for flight games later. It's been a real fun project for me and im still constantly trying to think of things I can do to make it even better. I also now have a stand up arcade machine in this room but due to using a much older PC I ended up using MameWah instead of GameEx to launch the games.
This should be easy but im having some trouble figuring it out. I recently built a driving arcade and use game-ex but im running into a problem with the ESC key closing the game and going back to the game-ex menu. Is there any way I can disable this? My main issue is with some of the older Need for Speed games they use ESC to go back to the game menu and they won't allow you to change it to a different key. I've looked through some of the configuration and also the ini files but still haven't been able to figure it out. Thanks!
