Thought it might be nice to have the name of the emu that running the games after the game name in the favorites section of GameEx

Just as a side note, I can't seem to find the option to change the backdrop in gameEx for daphne for my custom dragons lair wallpaper.

Thanx Jay, The only thing I can see is that my version of DL2 has .Ogg files as well as .m2v duno if this makes a difference ? I'll have to try and snag another copy of DL2 and try it out.

Thanks for taking the time to reply jay, I don't know why my ini file shows "-framefile d:\daphne\mpeg2\dlair2.txt" twice as in gameEx it only shows the line once , Jay I take it you have dragons Lair 2 running ok through gameEx, If you have can you post your dragons 2 frame file so I can take a look at it , Thanks

@mightypeniz, Thanks for looking, but as I said all the other games work, and dragons 2 works in daphne, I think it may be something to do with the video as it loads a whole lot faster than the other games in daphne. Maybe some delay option is needed, gameEx may not be shutting down quick enough for Dragons 2 ? just talking off the top of my head here to try and sort why the it's not loadin in gameEx

Thanks Tony, Here's my ini, like others have said works fine with daphne loader, but when I try to run dragons lair 2 through gameEx I just get a black screen and then back to gameEx menu, much like if full screen isn't selected on emus if that helps ?.GameEx.zip

I Posted this very issue about a month ago, no one seems to have an answer.

I've Just started with EmuZWin26 in gameex, but every time I pick a game off the list, EmuZWin loads the last game I ran outside of gameex , I.E it remebers the last game ran and reloads it reguardless of what game I pick in gameex spectrum menu . Also I've remapped the keyboard within Emuzwin to my arcade control J-pac keys and works fine, but when I close the Emuzwin it goes back to the default setting and I have to reload them, is there anyway to auto load them by default ? Hi, Just downloaded full Amiga game sets 2000 odd and there are a lot of differant versions of the same game, how do I filter them out just to show the 1st version of the game file, thay are zip format and ADF files, Is there a version of goodamgia or some such programe to remove dupe copies ? Thanks.

Do you need to have the roms un-archived ADF ? or can I run the programe with zipped/7z roms ? Thanks.

Hi Amos, thay are rar's but merged 7z format extracting them would defeat the object of having them merged. Edit** If I have to rename all the screen shots box art e.c.t I'll prob just look for some shot's with the correct name format to download, perhaps I'll put a request in the future updates for an option to ignore brackets in the shots directory, if some ones not beaten me to it.

I've just grabbed snes GoodMerged rom sets 7zipped/rar and there running fine but my Goodsnes screen shots won't show up in gameEx, I've checked the paths and they are ok, checked the png names and thay match the game file names. So what I'm I doing wrong ?. Thanks. Edit** Opps Just noticed that my png files have (u) or (j) at the end of them, and your going to tell me I've got remove all of the () to make them show up in gameEx arn't you is there some filter or batch file I can use to auto do this for me ? And I got them from the linked screen shots site so why are they still named wrong ?

I've been seeing a lot about good merge, is it worth merging all my roms rather than having them just zipped, other than having multiple zip versions of the same rom what's the advantage of merging them ?

must be missing something, to set the options you have to point goodgui to Goodinfo.cfg file which seems to be missing in goodgu 0.952 ? Edit** Just downloaded a newer version v1.31 and it no longer has config file needed, but my other problem is that the programe wants a .exe file for the goodc64 but mine only has Gamebase64 - Licensed V2.03.dat file in my GoodGB64_203.rar ?

Hi, I've just downloaded GoodGB64_203 to rename all my c64 games but GoodWindows_v2.4 doesn't have c64 listed under choose a sytem, So how do I add it to goodwindows so I can pick c64 option to rename my games . Thanks.

Errr GEX is short for gameEx

Still setting this great frontend up on my Jap candy cab and I've just ran into a strange problem with daphne, I've got all my other laser game images running ok in GameEx, but every time I try to run Dragons Lair 2 the screen just goes black and then back to the GameEx menu after a few seconds ??? Yet it works fine in the daphne/frontend emu ? It doesn't error or anything in GEX just black and back. One thing I've noticed about Dragons Lair 2 is that it starts very quick in Daphne and I'm wondering if GEX is some how not clearing something before DL2 is starting and that's whats knocking it out. Has anyone els had this problem ? Thanks in advance and keep up the great work.

Just started using this great front end, well impressed with it although takes an age to set everything up, but it's well worth it. I've got all the mame vids working and just wondered if there's a site I can download other intro movies for snes/N64 e.c.t Thanx in advance.
