  1. ok thanks i will mes around with those suggestions thanks Temp
  2. Thanks for the reply, I am using the psx emulator, I used to have many different types of game files working in my emulator, then when i decided i wanted to use a front end i chose gameex and i wanted to clean up my game image list, so i decided to go with the types of image/rom files that are bin files with one cue file, when i run my psx emulator outside of gameex i have the same issue. With certain games I start the emulator and select a image/rom cue file to play and it gives me the error (cd not usable failed to open file) but if i just select the first bin file for the game and load it the game works fine, the problem with that though is in my gameex psx game list i dont want to have 20 of the same games. Some of the games i have this problem with are, Auto destruct, Battle arena toshiden 1 2 and 3, Battle hunter many others, [REDACTED] I will try and get the info you mentioned above, though my game computer doesnt have internet so i got to use a thumb drive to transfer the stuff. Thanks again. Im guessing that because the games work when i load the track 1 bin file that it would be the cue file is not correct, but when i check it with notepad it has the same info as the bin files. [REDACTED]
  3. I try to get all my psx roms in the format bin/cue file, i have my gamex filter set to only see cue files, but when I select the file to play some of them i get a error (cd not usable failed to open file), but if i select the track 1 bin file it works fine.
  4. Ok i got it figured out, with mameuifx i like the realscanline setting with the contrast set to 1.20 that seemed to work pretty good, but i like the mameplus filter hq4 bold better it realy smoothes everything out and seems like the colors are brighter, im not exactly sure what i was doing wrong but i got mameplus working through gameex now, i must of had one of the directories wrong.
  5. Ok thanks Tom, I tried to get mame plus to work, i had mameuifx working but what i did was just move all the gameex directores in the setup wizerd to the mame plus rom, artwork, snaps, ect and i tried to start gameex the nag screen would count from 20 to 1 and when it got to 1 my computer would freeze i did this tried about 10 times and it did the same thing, so then i went back to mameuifx and i got that working again. I havent been into this for too long, I just want to be able to use to of the filters that help smoth out the jaggies. U-man, I guess i didnt understand what advance mame was for i just seen on there website that it has filter effects, i messeed with the effects a little i will try them again so the scanlines help smoth things out, i will give it a shot. will post back about my results.

I have been trying t get zink 1.1 to work in game ex for almost 2 weeks now, and can not seem to find much usefull information online to set it up. I used zink gui and can get that to work just fine on its own, i was able to trouble shoot that one because the ( show zink output ) option on the bottom of the page but i cant seem to find a way to get zink gui to work with gameex. If there is a way to set this up in gameex that would be great but now im trying to get zink 1.1 configured. 1. As far a the renderers do i use the one that comes with the ziped 1.1 package i noticed its not a dll, or do i have to get one of other renders that zink gui uses, As far as the zink gui renders the one that worked best for me was the gpupeopssoft.dll. 2. When i try to use the windows run last game option after i close game ex the cmd box comes up for like 2 secs and closes before i can read it. 3. Do I have to put the roms in the the zink folder or direct them to my mame roms and how do i do that or does gameex do that for me, i noticed when i updated my rom list it made a zink profile with the roms there for me. Thank you to anyone that can help me get this going, i have been going crazy tring to get this working.
